Thanks for all the quick replies. So it was the alternator. I guess the low voltage decided to throw the cel 84 ecm code randomly which makes perfect sense if the electronics aren't getting correct volts.
Dang scary code to get but all is well now
Well I figured it out the alternator died right after I got home from the mud bog. I had just enough juice to make to the bank and back. Glad I got home lol. I guess the low voltage caused cel 84 to pop on. I'll know for sure tomorrow when I get a new alternator. Thanks for the reply I'll give...
Howdy yall i did search but didnt get lucky.
All help is appreciated from my fellows mudders.

I went muddin today and then drove 45 miles to tha House. I went inside and let the truck cool for a while and came back out washed a little mud out from the engine...
Hey bud I'm In Dire need of a front locker harness.
I bought this 80 and it's missing and the part is discontinued. Wiring harness from locker actuator and it plugs in by the air filter
Ok GOOD LAWD! so I started back at the beginning and tested my o2 sensors and tried to do the diagnostic tests for code 25 per fsm and before I could ever get though the 3 minutes of idle before u review it to 4 grand three times the light would come on. So I checked the wiring repair for the...
No not at all. That's just what I found out while doing the pressure test. The fsm says to replace FPR if the pressure was high. I tested it with 3 different gauges. I highly doubt it is causing my lean code or that anything will change when I replace it. But what the heck. I'll replace it...
Ok so did the fuel pressure test. It checked out mostly
KOEO 46 psi built up kinda slowly
FPR vac hose off 46
FPR vac hose back on 38
So according to FSM my FPR is needing replacement because it was 2 psi out of range on the high side
Leak down test passed.
I also checked the fuel pump...
Ok so I smoked the engine and the only smoke that came out was through the top of the egr modulator valve. I'm wondering if that is ok. I think it is. Correct me if I'm wrong. It was coming from where the black cap snaps on to the valve. Could that be my code 25 cause. If not then I think I got...
You bet. Many times. I have been searching and trying almost everything i could find on this forum and the net except the things i mentioned which are next on the list. I forgot to mention i am a mechainc but the obd1 is new to me
Well I took the cover of the vaf and it looked good inside. I also read another post and someone else said their DMM jumped up and down so I guess maybe it's on a wave form. I don't know. I'm not convinced yet that it is good but I'm not experiencing anything else that others have with VAF...
Digital meter. It jumped up and down a 100 or so ohms on the way open and closed. It read within spec fully open fully closed. Code was there before I touched anything after putting new walbro fuel pump in to get it started after it sat in field for 5 yrs
