Finished the frame tie in part of the cage. This part of the cage build was very tedious work (at least for me). Lots of fabbing, fitting, unbolting, and doing it again. Glad to have it done and excited to move on to the cage build.

Plugging away at some of the tedious stuff. Cleaned up the tailgate hardware and got it painted. Seam sealed the cowl. Seam sealing sucks. It dries really fast. You need to work it quickly or it will not be smooth. It sticks to everything...

That is the cover over the flywheel on the bell housing. I think the plug is just there to drain any fluids that may be trapped. I had the rear sill leaking years ago and it accumulated in here and dropped out.

The oem rings for the door "safety" strap will interfere with the late model doors for sure. but you can just unscrew them when not in use. I installed them on my 1980 to be used when the hard top and doors are off. All the late models I've seen...

Garage tip: engine stand for fender bodywork

6" KC fog light housings with 5.25" cheap marine speakers installed. Welded a tab to the roll cage on each side and mounted them. :D
