If you're considering deleting the booster later, don't install it now and use a non-boosted clutch pedal.
The boosted pedal doesn't give the mechanical advantage that the non-boosted pedal does and gives a much heavier pedal non-boosted than...
Factory ECU isn't tunable so Haltech or similar is your best bet. Have wondered about trying a piggyback like a unichip but haven't done anything on this yet.
You won't have OBD2 on this unfortunately.
20L/100 is about what these get, I've got...
Search through the forum, there's been plenty of 1FZ turbo builds done on here from mild boost on stock engines to aftermarket engine management, rods, pistons etc.
One thing to note: your 94 is more difficult to boost from an engine management...
Please find another "mechanic" or reach out to a local LC group in your area for recommendations.
There is no OBD1 code for "manifold pressure sensor", considering there is no manifold pressure sensor on a 3FE.
What @Godwin posted is true, and...
Got the car back from the mechanic. He said the issue was that the LPG system splices into the factory oxygen sensor wiring. However, someone in the past has removed the stepper motor for the LPG system, which means it now runs open loop, and...
If you decide not to tackle it yourself, I rebuild two or three Landcruiser carburetors every week at my shop. My contact info is in my avatar and signature line.
Basic questions/checks:
1) is the check engine light illuminated with the ignition in the 'on' position?
2) easy way to see if the cam is doing remotely what it should: remove the rocker cover and turn the engine over. If all the valves open and...
Hopefully you didn’t pay for that diagnosis!
Start here and follow the steps from @jonheld he is the guru on 3fe. Download the diagnostic from the resources section and start reading.
Learn to fix this thing yourself. You can do it this forum...
How long since you changed the fuel filter and what brand is it?
Have you checked for air in the fuel? Easiest way to do this is a clear fuel line from filter to IP
What's it doing? A low pressure fuel pump in the feed can help for a little while, i.e. feeding the IP 2 or 3 psi of fuel pressure.
To rebuild you need some specialised equipment. Not in the realms of a DIY project.
The best shock will depend on use
Find a shock tuner you like and ask what shock they like to tune. Buy those and have them tune them to your rig and riding style.
Shocks are very dependent on driver and style.
If money is no object, king make the best shocks I've ever used.
A step down IMHO, fox, icon etc are quite good
A step down again (IMHO) are the high end mainstream manufacturer shocks, i.e. OME BP51, Terrain Tamer pro shock, Dobinsons MRA etc...
You might have noticed that all heavy machinery run donaldson or equivalent cyclonic filters. Because nothing beats them for the ability to throw out dust and keep filtering.
The 4wd action test was using 5 micron particles which are relatively...
Rebuilt motor from me is $7500. That’s a complete long block with OEM parts, pistons, rings, bearings, timing cover and components, used oil cooler with new cover, new harmonic balancer, Fron/rear main seal, ARP head studs. Oil oans to valve...
I'd encourage you to go shopping - you should be able to get 11400-66041 for under 4k USD.
Alternatively @Fj80oregon is a good choice for a rebuilt engine
AFAIK = as far as I know.
Any Toyota dealer can get a short block, some may not be interested/willing.
Short block = engine block and rotating assembly, i.e. crankshaft, rods, pistons, rings, bearings etc. No cylinder head or accessories.
