@Kernal nailed it, but do you know the torque for the studs? The FSM doesn't have this value but I think @cruiserdan came up with a rough estimated torque for the studs.
I used Horizon in the past and they were great….but they sold out to a national chain. I gave the chain a chance hoping the same folks were still working there. They scheduled the appointment based on eastern time, so I lost the initial time slot...
EDIT: never mind, I contacted the ebay seller and pointed me to the right direction.
Here's the link for the one I need.
Anyway, feel free to delete this post as I"m unable to do so.
My fuse cover is mostly worn off so I'm looking to find...
We all have good/bad/ugly stories with glass shops!
I have a hard time for a glass installer to put urethane on the body and on the replacement molding (gasket) per the FSM. When this isn't done on the 80, it causes the glass to shimmy during...
You can get on top of the mesa via a Forest Service road north of Cuba, a southward turn onto dirt after the hwy 96 turnoff if you're heading north, right around when the road turns due west. Lots of petrified wood precipitates from the layers...
I believe one time when I was wizzing by that facility, the gigantic antennas were moving super slowly. I wished I was on top of a mountain looking down with a pair of binoculars.
I'm still up here, and won't be home for awhile. I thought I would toss out a tease until I get home.
Bucket List:
1. See the Northern Lights!!!!!! Realistically, this is bucket list boxes 1-100.✅️
2. Dip my toes in the Arctic Ocean. Bucket...
Thanks, @krazykat69! Hey all, Owner of Plata coffee here, looking forward to seeing folks come out now that we're getting into some fall like weather.
Here's this month's events calendar.
We oughta come up with a place to camp as a group. Water canyon FS CG isn't too far away, and of course the Gila is nearby. I'm open to ideas!
The tickets are free so grab them up!
@ghostofamerica
David - i see you're in SF. If you need some more eyes on your 80, I'd post up here and introduce yourself. Then point to this thread so that everyone is looking at the same thread. Someone who lives in SF might be able to...
after he's buttoned up, just warm up the engine then rev it up to 2500 rpm, and look for aquarium style bubbles coming from the overflow tank. If the HG leak is bad, then all the water in the overflow tank will be displaced by hot gas in short...
wait, this "modern" winch controller still uses solenoids? As in the same solenoids in my Warn M10,000 winch? I figured they all have gone to the fancy contactors by now!
coolant overpressurization can also be caused by a blown HG. Quite possibly the HG blew long time ago, which opened up the old radiator since it was the weakest point. Now, a new radiator held itself together but the hose popped off due to too...
this is fascinating info, thx for that. Logic is telling me that there is a cyclonic force that makes the "heavies" drop out and collect into the tuna can. So, the tuna can itself doesn't experience a vacuum condition inside it. Or am I on a...
The thin rubber flap/valve of the dirt collection can ("tuna" can) may fall or get knocked off during handling/cleaning due to deterioration of the tiny rubber nipples that secure it in place.
FWIW: IME there's often small patch of rust on the...
I believe some folks have had their O2 sensor wires got ripped from the connector, wrapped around the front DS which caused a short and blew the EFI fuse.
I have walked in and seen things but never had the actual tour.
Oh how I wish I can get a tour of the massive telescope/observatory on top of the mountain nearby.
i did this on my front housing. I made this on a lathe but a thick wall pipe with the right ID can be slipped over what you have now then weld it up. Assuming yours hasn't mushroomed itself! Just grind smoothish the mushroomed part, get the...
