A few weeks ago, I almost sold the 100 (I know, I know). To set things right, and to keep the universe in balance, I've been spending money and time on the 100 - new leather, carpet, bushings, ball joints... soft, fluffy pads and spa treatments...
Sorry for the delay.
I built the harness from scratch. I used 3 Blue Sea fuse blocks. Two are switched 12v, one is constant. Then, a row of relays. I haven't used all of them yet.
@Andrew S , I replaced the cheap fuel gauge with a Dakota...
Removed 3rd row seats and did the Victory base. Wife liked the covered look of the side panels. :) I had a bunch of leftover stuff from the Tacoma and the Tundras:
I own a 2013 200, a 2014 200 (built up as off roader) and just traded this 2019 200 which was kept stock. The LX on road feels like a Porsche compared to the 200. It is so fast. It also has so much tech that it almost drives the car for you...
Update: Took it to Lexus of Winter Park. They couldn't pinpoint the rattling so they shoved a bunch of felt in the B pillar which is where they say these problems are 70% of the time. I drove away and it seemed fine... until I hit some bumps and...
When you say, "...going over bumps.", what kind of bumps and how fast? Slow rolling speed pumps and driveways or cracks, dips and rises on the highway?
Can you make it rattle standing next to the car, with all the doors open (to hear the noise)...
You could try and lift the rear of the truck, by the frame, not suspension....to try and get some droop to fit the coupler in there....or youll have to not use the coupler as mentioned.
EDIT: Actually that might make the forward one even less...
I put in one of the FitCamX dash cams. Front one takes like 5 minutes to install. Replaces the plastic shroud of the rear view mirror....getting the rear one ran is slightly more involved, but quite happy w it so far.
Here are some cheap and easy ideas/mods for your new GX:
Here's a great center console tray. You'll need to use a heat gun to flex the sides inward just a wee bit, but it works great and better than the factory tray...
I think you are probably under factory warranty, so that would be worthwhile to pursue.
It almost sounds like a relay to me, but if its "bumps related" then may want to check out underneath....mud flap area, under running boards where the lights...
Nice! Seems like the gas tank skid should have been welded at those front seams, but I suppose it would take a really special hit to bend it up or peel it back like a can opener.....
Time for the next Big announcement ! The front housing opening will be sealed with a piece of plexiglass. With the limited space Sponsors get first shot at sending me something small, stickers, key chains, anything that fits in your hand. Once...
I’ve been meaning to put a roof box on my GX for a while, but I was unsure if the factory crossbars would work.
I’d seen a few posts on Reddit and other forums mentioning the very tight clearance between the Thule PowerClick clamps and the GX...
I guess I'm going with this for the rear setup for now. I really don't have a better way to do it if I want to keep my third row.
Also, ditched the gobi ladder. During the install I realized I'd lose hatch access which is stupid.
Did you loosen and retighten the control arm bushing with the weight of the truck on them? OEM bushings need to be locked in at ride height. This is far more important on the front arms, but rears are similar in design. Most people dont do this.
This one says 2022, but 2023 is same

I think I have all the DrKDSS goodies along with Treaty Oak spacers on the rear bar. On my 2017 I'm running Dobinsons MRRs that are roughly a 2.2 inch lift front and 2.5 inch lift rear that I installed in February 2023. I installed the DrKDSS...
