What a difference in window speed this has made. Incredibly happy with my purchase. This is before new window slide moldings, will be installing them for good measure when they arrive.
OK, so mine arrived last week just two days after ordering, but I didn't have a chance to install it until this morning :meh:
First off, the packaging is very well put together
Everything looked to be consistent with all the photos I've...
If you don't want to buy one, or don't think something is "worth it", or you think you can build one yourself for cheaper, then go ahead and do it, and allow the person selling these to go about their business—it's pretty simple.
I don't wheel it as my goal of the build. I use it for camping with 60% hwy driving . I wanted as low as possible with 315s and it's sitting shy of 2.5". For prospective, my 80 is around 6250lbs with front bumper, 12k winch, rear swing out,w/o...
They did a Dyna with Mega Cruiser underpinnings. It uses a 15B-FTE. The military version also uses the Mega Cruiser parts.
I would love to get my hands on either of them
Just installed mine. What a sweet solution to a simple problem. 10 minute install, and the windows zip up and down as fast as my 2025 Tundra. Got me thinking about my old MkIII Supra now....gotta see if it uses the same relay. @PIP Might be...
So I'm going to chime in for the ones who doubted this,I have been running the prototype for 2 years and not one problem, with the Window Rocket and my Land Cruiser is my only vehicle that I drive daily its such an improvement,I still have 2...
Ok, just finished my install…31 mins start to finish, with two battery post disconnects and kick plate removals (don’t forget to connect the ground wire after plugging in the plug!)….super easy install and night and day results! Let me figure...
My 80: 1996, 252k miles, new PS window rack & motor from Rock Auto ~4yrs ago, sunroof rack removal and rebuild ~5yrs ago, new Odyssey AGM27P (850CCA, 85AH) a month ago showing 13.7v at rest, engine OFF. I use the sunroof almost every time I drive...
I got mine today, install took 10 or 15 minutes. Speeded up the windows significantly...and I'm sure the difference will be even greater when it's cold. 😎

Agreed here - alignment between rails is critical to not stripping any gears. I run both rails to their stops and then back off the same amount on each side before assembly.
I share that experience with seat gears stripping again and again. What seems to have worked for me is disassembling everything 100%, cleaning, greasing, assembling and verifying alignment of both sides. Then gears hold up well.
definitely cheaper, but end result may not be the same, I've replaced all of my motors, and it didn't improve anything. defintely not cheap but having slow windows for 10+ years dispite my efforts, and having them twice as fast after a 15 min...
