Hell yeah! Thanks Dustin@PiP for joining in And Mino for the review! I’m just glad I got my order in earlier, because this thing is going to take off….like a rocket! (Pun fully intended)
(Anyone who wants to tell me to just accept I have...
Thanks to a member sending me a link to this thread!
The Window Rocket is my product.
I'll start by answering a few questions-
Austin didn't do anything sneaky in his video. He's a stand up dude and calls it like it is. I told him about the...
$300 bones is a bit spendy, but when you think about it, replacing window runs would be even more and you still won't see speedy results like this :meh:
Thinking about pulling the trigger on one myself even though my windows work fine as is and...
I rebuilt my driver's seat back in January with new Gamiviti gears and was pretty happy. I have used these gears on every cruiser I have owned with no complaints.. then my daughter decided she wanted to use my cruiser for a week when I was out of...
Ok, a little update on this....
Couple weeks ago the wife tried moving her seat and it just quit.
It was already on its second Gamiviti gear, so I figured I'd try out one of the brass.
Sold as a pair on Amazon, they arrived next day.
Pulled...
I went with a heavy Dobi 3"
Weight is 3020 Front/3400 Rear (unloaded)
Since 99% of my driving is long distance highway speeds, I went with MAF drop brackets instead of messing with offset bushings or caster plates.
No ragrets
Remove the screws to the hood/fuel latch. Remove screws to the lower plastic valance. Remove the snapped in plastic surround around left side switches and ignition. Remove screws for black bezel around cluster. Remove screws for cluster. Cluster...
Before you change the pump, try jumping it directly using a fused jumper lead.
In most cases, you can tap the power wire quickly on 12v while banging on the pump motor to break it loose.
Once it starts singing, cycle it on and off for a few...
What does this sound like? I've got it wired up according to SUMOTOY's directions and reviewing my EWD, and I'm getting a click at the solenoids but nothing like the "bang" I'm used to hearing when ABS is being actuated. I've definitely got air...
Okay, as a follow-up, you cannot use a 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser ABS wiring diagram verbatim on a 1997 Lexus LX450; there are subtle but confusing differences (such as the ABS connector nomenclature is different). The bottom line is: Get the...
I had the same problem and it was a dirty connector up under the ABS module on the driver's fender. I turned the key on, everything else off, and wiggled the connectors with the ignition on, not running. I think I heard a click, and the problem...
9v transistor battery (assuming that's what you mean) will not stand a chance at moving a motor in a circuit that employs a 60 amp fuse; certainly not with hydraulic pressure to contend with. Those batteries are rated in milliamps. You will need...
I am just a simple mechanical engineer, not an electrowizard, but I would try to power the motor by finding the Black with Red (3 on A4) wire that goes to power the motor, and ensure the White with Black wire that grounds the motors is actually...
I would love to see a theory of operation on the ABS system, especially in regard to page DI-224, specifically the Circuit Description, DTC No. 51, Fail Safe Function: "If trouble occurs in the ABS pump motor, the ECU cuts off current to the ABS...
Oh man I feel so daft, but I'll own the embarrassment. I guess I completely unhooked the ABS ECU by mistake while taking out the OEM alarm in drivers side kick panel a few months ago 🤦♂️. Hooked it back up and the ABS warning light is gone. Lmao...
Coolant is seeping out of the top gasket and drying there. What more of a leak do you want to see?
If you're waiting until coolant is gushing out somewhere, it'll be too late, and bad things could happen.
Mine started sweating near the top at 251,xxx miles
Replaced with OEM
432,xxx miles and still going strong
Also have Blue Fan Clutch and JDM Electric fan (never use it)
I just replaced the OEM gear that had stripped on the cap side (with the Gamiviti replacement).
In my case, like @WCBlueSky, the endcap helical bearing was fine.
This is just a guess - as to why the gear stripped on that side...If there is any...
Not sure
Posted this thread a few years back and the brass gears weren't well received, so I just ordered another set from Gamiviti and threw them in
https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/newer-style-seat-gears-1-piece-plastic-vs-brass.1273322/
Yeah, the Amazon reviews don't look good on the brass (tight fitting)
How about these full plastic gears?
I had posted about them a while back, but can't remember where I saw them
some people buy rigs that are missing this cap piece or occasionally they break or go missing during a repair. they are also not a bad item to have in the glove box. i've been slow getting the word out so wanted to mention it in case some power...
