Hopefully this helps anyone considering running 35s. It takes a little bit of work, but in my opinion it looks pretty bad ass.
Also, what I’ve done to the truck so far is just OEM plus. That’s another reason I went with a Rig’d spare tire...
After running my 35 inch tires for a while, I decided to put on wheel spacers.
I previously ran spiderTrax wheel spacers on my 200 series, and for three years and a ton of trails I never had an issue.
In the LX700h OT with 35s, the rubbing is...
Toyota might slap an 8000 lb rating on it, and almost everything else on the truck is well up to the task…. But needless to say here, the 112.2” wheelbase is always going to be a 112.2” wheelbase. Having towed the same and similar loads between...
You going to be at Cruiserfest?
Ok. Just a modest collection. The essentials with stock backups. And the Wife’s 250 with a set of GX550 t/o wheels to get rid of the 20’s.
Like I said, I “may have a problem”.
Picked her up yesterday. Have almost 10 very comfortable hours in her so far. Very quiet. 3rd row delete! A little smoother than my 200 (which is a keeper) and the 80 is just a how different machine.
This will be fun.
Yes, I may have a...
Well...
At full lock they are rubbing the UCA, the forward mud flap in the front wheel well (now removed), and (just barely) the vent protrusions in the forward liner. At least that's the case with these thrashed Maxxis.
Spare tire area, you can see the steel brackets that flank the 33” tire. Those could be reconfigured for a 35 if you were really motivated. I ordered the RiG’d ultraswing, so when it arrives (in like 278 weeks) I will relocate the spare to the back.
Short version: they bolt right up, minimal rubbing.
Longer version:
-Stock wheels (maintain OEM scrub radius).
-The front mudflaps (front of tire) are the main rubbing area and each is easily removed with 2, 10mm bolts.
-Spare tire is a...
35s fit well!
So far I’ve driven around town in N, H1, H2.
Full lock gives the slightest amount of rub, and it seems to be easy to resolve by trimming or even melting and adjusting the inner fender liner.
So far it’s not bothersome enough...
Bumping up this thread if anyone is still interested in doing black emblem overlays and wants to see what they look like. I just put them on, and I think they look awesome. Ordered them on ebay from Lexus of Roseville, and they arrived in just a...
I did the black emblem overlay. Very easy to install and very snug. You can't misalign it. Dealer was charging $215+tax but glad the ebay one was cheaper and still OEM. All and all, I'm pretty happy with it. Earth looks better with this overlay.
Anderson WDH for highway, disconnecting it for slower offroad and using the Morryde articulating hitch feature for the rough stuff.
I've owned a 2017 F250 and 2018 F350 in the past...but I want to give the LX a try first. If after a few runs...
That is where I put my refundable deposit for a 2-row. These guys at North Park group are great. I bought my wife's 5th gen Runner Pro last year at North Park Toyota and they were very fair too. No stupid mark-ups like some others were trying...
