its been awhile sonce I posted. I still looking/wanting to do this I have the engine out of the truck and steam cleaned it. The search for the adapters is still going hopefully get started this fall when work slows down.

the fastest I get to go here at home is 50 so I'll be moving either way... you're all right I could do a SBC or even BBC and get more torque than this motor. It may not have the HP I was hoping but it has the torque. I'm not trying to forge a new path in LC's. I just think it would be cool...

Yeah I wasn't to sure about the horse power but I do believe the torque is up there. its torque that I'm after so its either this or a diesel and the 392 is free.

Heard fo people using LPS 3 lubricant. it leaves a heavier waxy like film over the applied part, I would still wash my truck when possible tho.

if its a stock 60 chances are its a 4speed, I'm pretty sure that US 60's didn't come with the hf55. someone one here knows for sure. Anybody?

I"m 80% sure its your adjusters. I just finished my soa and bled my brakes last night had similar issues till I got the adjuster tool out. I happy to say the brakes work.
