Hey everyone - would be interested in meeting up and seeing other Cruisers (and their owners haha). I’m SE of town, near Alto. I’ve made a few Cars/Rigs & Coffee events over the years but never seen another Cruiser.
There’s several good spots...
A few yrs ago while on a service trip to Chicago I picked up a nearly new set of 38.5” Swamper “thornturds”.
I’ve always wanted some to play with.
The tires were knifed in the sidewalls by an angry wife or GF of the original owner. I just found...
Has anyone ever used an early mini truck bed to build a 40 into a pickup? My son has a pipe dream to build his 69 fj40 into a pickup.
It’s local to me on marketplace.
I’m recently unemployed with the 12.5 year civy job. The details are ridiculous and I won’t share here.
I have hinge parts waiting to ship, but my wife and I are taking our pups and kayaks a couple hours north next week to get away and find some...
1) Stop calling it an FJ!
B) I think some people may think of owning a classic car as an investment but with these vehicles it's unlikely to be a profitable one in the sense of income.
III) If you like the 40, want to keep it and understand you...
While my rig is sitting there waiting for the bonehead that is supposed to be painting it to get out of jail, here is what it looks like with the new tires and wheels on it:
Ih8 rodents. Someday when the wx isn’t so gross I’ll dig back into working on my wife’s 80. I still have some rodent mess to finish cleaning before getting the dash and electronics rerouted. Then it will be a lot of details I hope I didn’t forget...
My son was in Estes Park recently and saw this rig, sent this and another goofy pic.
And he just sent me a couple pics of this one at a park near his place in Aurora.
After 40 years of doing clutch jobs without fail I bought a beater GMC 3500 w/ dump bed for hauling locally on my own projects. Had a rod knock so put in used engine. Harder to stab tranny than usual but why stop to think! (even when you know...
Which year 6.0 are you running? I’ve learned (hopefully correct info) that the 99-2000 6.0s had the long snout crank which can use a same vintage 5.7 firebird clutch setup with sbc/bbc dimensions.
My stuff is still in boxes and pieces so I can’t...
Heyoooooo! Would love to gather again for Cruise Michigan. But, the 11th, I have a gig in Lake Leelanau from 130-3pm with the Broom Closet boys out of GR. It’s the summer street fest. So unless you do a trail run up here..... I cannot make. I...
Just throwing this out there, the Evart trail system has some gnarly stuff on it for the LP, and is pretty densely spaced making it a lot of fun in a small area.
Downside is you're gonna get mud and probably pinstripes.
We use it for camping...
Small update. Our body shop has been slow so I threw my 40 in for some work. Not a lot of mechanical stuff done but getting the top and sides sorted out.
@CruisinGA tried ordering earlier and we found another glitch with my site.
We got the order done via PayPal, but I was also able to get my site fixed to work as it should.
