So I saw your post, and in no more than 5 minutes, I was driving to Charlotte from Greenville.
About 15min in I realized LKQ doesn't put vehicles out on the weekend, and that your post was from Friday. Realizing the 80 was probably already...
More notes
1. Pro tip, the 80 series steering bolts are the same as 60 series other then the coating (dacrotized/geomet vs silver zinc/Cad), but 20% of the price ~$1 each vs ~$5 each. I can afford lunch now
2. Decided to try something a bit...
Inching along.. today was Redbull Roller Coaster spent the morning at that
Got a few hours in tonight,
New lower shock mounts and 2/4 steering stops done.
3D printed drill guide.. can you tell I love my new 3D printer?!
Previous mount was sketchy to use and look at any other time except parked. Used a KRK-10 remote head unit kit and mounted it on my spare panel on the console. Main body is hiding in the back
Baby steps..
Got one bump stop can tacked in.
3D printed a snap-in edge guard for my steering ram lines
Also my new steering links (1.5” 7075) arrived from Wide Open Design yesterday!
Now I just need to buckle down and get all this done
New U-bolt plates and bump can mounts tacked up. U-bolt plates are double-layered 1/2” steel. The section sticking out is where the bump stop is going to contact. Hopefully doesn’t bend too much, it is 1” thick there.
Ok. @ Broski was right..... we finished the swing out carrier and hung that big 37 on it.
Yeah it holds it...... yeah we reinforced it by tragulating in many spots..... but it is clear that in an off road situation, tha spare will be doing a...

It was probably tuned to run with the bad hg and now it's good. Just tune the carb again, lean drop test and whatnot.
Well @FJ60Cam saved my ass. Off the pic i
Posted yesterday he saw with his eye that I had used an F head gasket and not a 2F.
I have no idea where this F head gasket came from but I had a proper 2F one here and it's on.
Luckily all I had done...
While waiting in some parts to come in to finish the front end I got the transmission swap about finished up, I put the NP203/splitcase back in since I only have to make a few very minor mods for the TR4050.
We took a bunch of measurements with...
Thanks to @FJ60Cam for letting me pluck a Hi Po head out of your stash. I was able to hit the gym, my favorite restaurant Las Tortugas for a $50 lunch and grab the head drive home and stab it by 6:30. 💪
Pro Tip if you are putting a head on...
Thanks y'all! She's a trooper, barely spent any time together the past few months getting ready for Moab.
But I've been told I need to prioritize moving a fridgerator to the kitchen now. Something about it being inconvenient to walk to the...
Well I made it back from Moab on Saturday about midnight, did the drive back in 2 1,000mi days. It was pretty smooth sailing besides assorted trailer tire issues. The Amazon trailer TPMS I got worked great. Saved a couple fires with it after 2...
