Sounds dumb but did you call any local regular parts stores? Theres a 80 Moog/Import Direct brand complete drag link and tie rod assy they all carry pretty regularly for like $120. Should be next day to any parts store.

I replaced almost everything in my 80 a few years ago and even if it gives up anytime soon it was worth it. I really like Toyota parts when I can but most of that stuff I used was from Rock Auto with Denso when it was an option.
Amayama has good prices, their shipping fees are not crazy, delivery takes a few days but it is not too bad. I have ordered several times and have never experienced any problems.

Luke got the Patrol reassembled and it’s back to being a runner - and this time on all 6 cylinders. The new Nissan forklift distributor replaced the original crusty one that was the source of our problems.
Update: Got back on Friday. Logged 7,500 miles over 31 days, through 17 states. Burnt through 411gal of gas which gave me an average mileage of 18.25mpg.
The only casualty was a scrape and dent to the rear driver bumper, which should pop back...
