I would mount all your accessories to the motor before any mock up.

They should come off without much pursuasion. Maybe a few gental taps with a brass hammer would help.

The wiring may not even be there for it as it also runs through the bcm do some digging

My latest 80 was all over the road till I tightened up the steering box. Do you have much slop in the steering wheel turning left to right? You should only have to back off the adjustment screw about 1/2 turn after bottoming it out.

I used the f body oil pan on a swap about 12 years ago I also modified it for more driveshaft clearance it also doesn't have the mounting tabs for the starter wiring that goes across the front of the oil pan this was also used with truck style...
