made new front skid, tweaked centre skid, painted / coated them both, refreshed the lower front arms with new bushes and BJ'S, cleaned and coated the lower arms!
I installed 555 inner and outer tie rods with some new rack boots. Did the alignment by myself with a tape measure! Then had my buddy laser align it and it was almost dead on with my tape measure.
Still in the process of getting it all back together but it's very close. Heading out Friday morning to hit up Expo Mountain West on Sunday and then heading more west. Hopefully will be able to me CruiserFest Sept. 6. Anyone going to any of these...
That's @Glenn-BJ74 @Greg_B @gofast and I forget John Voo and Ruwi's mud handles.
I should have been there too but the timing just didn't quite work. I hope you made fun of their tiny little tires
Also, who is this crew? Met you in Stewart BC at the gas station. We discussed we are all active on Mud, but forgot your handles. Anyways, nice to meet you all and hope you have a good rest of your trip.
12 days in trip to journey to Alaska with Dad! Currently in Whitehorse YT. Trip is going well and trucks are both running great. Just missed the 331,000 mark at camp.
FWIW, I use an engel mt45 and in good sunny days it takes a 60watt panel to "keep up" and thats on moderately hot days. add in hotter temps and it takes 68 watts at peak perf to " keep up" when fridge is on a 50% duty cycle ( kinda worst case...
Yeah, 100W would be 'ok'. Use a decent charge controller to do right by the battery.
Also, NOTE, you don't want to discharge your lead acid (gel, or wet) more than 50%, so whatever the AH rating of the battery is, you really only have 50% of...
I used an AC coil cleaning kit to remove funky smells when the AC is turned off…
Did a little searching and found that the $40 Toyota kit is made by ZEP for Toyota…
Heads up…
Turns out that the $18 Subaru kit ( made by ZEP for Subaru) is...
Got the new fuel pump installed after our brief drive back home from SLC to Vegas with an intermittent P0171 (system too lean for about 450 miles). Ran diagnostics after the first start up, short and long term fuel trims came out good and...
after a few months of waiting, my unicorn "Franz" turned 25 and finally swam across the ocean and made it to Tennessee. Sadly it arrived with the motor working but electronics... not so much. After some time with a multimeter I was able to...
Really don't see the logic in using that route for running your cables to the rear of your rig. Harder to access and IIRC, it is more difficult to thread wire through there due to at least 1 90* bend and the opening is smaller.. Plus the other...
@OffRoadScott
Might be easier to route your power cables through this grommet. I routed my Toyobd1 cables through this opening and it exits/enters above your footwell. Take your glove compartment off for better viewing and access.
Are you talking about the firewall hole into the cabin? My aux batt is in the engine compartment and ran 6 AWG pwr and ground though that hole and down PS kick panel and under door sills to the 3rd row compartment where I mounted a fuse panel...
Testing the Bluetti Charger 1 on a stock, original alternator and it works great in the short time testing. I thought it would bring down the voltage a lot more. I had the AC with the fan almost on full blast.
