I just installed a 15B-FT in my BJ70 to replace my 3B. It has been an absolute game changer on the highway and a clear improvement around town.
As a possible aid in your research ... It is my understanding that there might be a few 15B-FT...
And finally, the engine and new gearbox in the chassis on its own weight!
Was expecting the front springs to compress a bit more, but I'm sure they will settle some more as we add more and more stuff.
And had to clearance the tunnel a bit...
Just got back into town from a 3 week road trip and I put 1500 miles on the red Land Cruiser pictured below. I also met a lot of great people, including @Ditcherman and @Tank5 in the other two Cruisers.
Wanted to really test the clutch pedal adjustment from last week some time, and my slightly rerouted bikini top straps (inside the rear seats vs outside), so I threw the bike in the back and headed to the local fire road trail.
The clutch worked...
‘72 FST has been the DD lately. Have really been enjoying it now that the weathers cooled off some. The F engine and 3spd is perfect.

I overlooked this place. Did the loop in cades cove when my nephew visited a few weeks ago. No top + windshield down. Saw some bear cubs playing and tons of deer.
This is as close to the real thing as you are going get. This is a real metal reproduction stamped bezel made by PACOL, I believe. It has been powder coated and has no dents and is a 10/10. As for the red letters I did, well, jury is out on...
I know it’s been said before, but these things really do like being driven.
I’ve taken it out more this past month than I think all of last summer.
The carb is mostly cooperating-it’s only died a few times but hasn’t had the high idle thing...
100% ....35's are the sweet spot for a mild 80 series build. You don't really have to do much more than 2-3" lift and add the 35" tires and enjoy. 37's = slippery slope but worth it if the wheeling you will be doing is more than mild.
