I wasn't singling you out. Speaking more about myself. ;)

Could be coincidence. Could be, you were building tank pressure, which aided fuel pressure. Removing gas cap, released the pressure, reducing fuel pressure. Crank no start, is either spark or fuel.

All years (98-07) of 100 series control arms which house ball joints, are the same. Difference is LH vs RH and upper vs lower. Part number can be found: www.partsouq.com

Good job! Can I ask: Was High Mileage oil ever used? Was conventional oil used. If so, what was change interval? Did engine ever, run hot or overheat?

Can I ask: How many miles on engine? Was "High Mileage" oil ever used? Was conventional oil used, during any point in engine history? If so, what was the change interval (miles)? Was engine ever run hot (over 200F) or overheat?

I'm I reading your scale correctly. New 73.25 OZ, Old 86.75 OZ.. So old was 13.5 OZ over? I don't think Charcoal canister would have cause intermittent start. Possibles: Fuel flow. Like pump and or filter. EFI fuse contacts. Cam or crank sensor...

This is starting to look like endorsement for CRC...LOL Using CRC OZZYjuice, SW-4, X-1, etc. As a stand alone cleaner. May not be economical or that great a cleaning solution. The CRC OZZYmat FL-4, embedded with the petroleum eating microbes...

Paul, neither I, nor my chemist coworker, is a biologist, but we'll ask around the office and see if we can get any more useful information. As far as I know, yes microbes can live in an alkaline solution. There are types which can live in...

Nice write up @Malleus ! Any clue, on how to make the microbes (OZZY's)? Can microbes live in lye? What I like, about the CRC SmartWasher systems, is: Bioremediation (eats grease). I no longer need to worry about washing petroleum (grease...

For reference, you can use these: Citric acid: (about $5; one jar will make about 1/2–gal) Washing soda: (about $5; one box will make as much solution as you can use in a lifetime, and make your clothes cleaner, too!) So, for $10, you can make...

This is primarily to answer an aside from the front suspension topic it was pulled from, so as not to contaminate the OP's post topic. So, @2001LC and I were chewing the fat about degreasers, (kudos to Paul, who happens to be the only other...

Welcome and congratulation on your find. As a baseline, we always replace heater tees, if no direct knowledge they were done. While tees off, blow out the heater cores. Also with coolant service. Drain the block (both sides) and R&R the...

You'll need King AHC coils (rear springs) and ~10 to 20mm spacers (donuts on top of coils).

Well we ended up driving ~40 miles unloaded and ~60 miles towing ~4000 lbs yesterday and everything worked great!

BTW: I've, two extra passenger side knuckles available, if you need one. Restored, with better paint than factory. They'll not rust!

Sorry all, for hijacking thread on axle bearing and bushing. But, cleaning is a big part of knuckle service IMHO. I do still sometimes just use derusting brushes & scrapers. When, knuckles not to badly rusted or beat on. But we're now going past...

Temps were fine when having the issue on both sensors #1 and #2. I never saw anything above 135F when driving close to the house and watching shifting in techstream. That was after ~20 minutes of driving. ECT was ~190-195F during testing. The...

The Magnefine ATF filter. Is designed, to allow proper (easy) flow. IIRC, its filter medium, filters to 50 mic, and its magnet, catches to under 3 microns. A sample of your ATF, will let you know, if you'd gain and benefit, by filtering.

Yesterday I dropped the trans pan to inspect further. Fluid, pan and magnets were all spotless. I removed the mesh/screen filter and inspected it and the oring sealing it to the valve body. I was worried the oring was not sealing properly and...

I'll try it. Thanks! I've 14 gallons in the tank. So I buy 15 gallons at a time. "g" =grams? "washing powder" = laundry detergent? Any particular brand? "baking powder" in place of what. Washing powder? Would you happen to have recipe for CRC...

@2001LC If you're buying Evaporust by the gallon (or 5–gallon) bucket, I can save you some cash. In one liter of distilled water, add 100–g of citric acid and 40–g of washing powder. If you want a little stickiness, add a squirt of dishsoap...

Check AT fluid temp #1 & #2. Check that ECT (engine coolant temp) is making 184F or more. Assuming ECT reaching op temp: Send AT fluid sample to black stone. If reports metals: Place inline AT fluid filter. The "Out" hard line to hose from AT to...
