Have you seen this?
79 totally original paint only 46k on body, PO hydrolocked motor in 89, sat under a carport until 2014 when I bought it, dropped a 2f from an FJ60 in it with a sniper.. Drove it to Hot Springs and back 600 mike
Thanks….the second thing i purchased for that 8N 3 yrs ago was an over-run clutch…. I’ve heard several stories about the torque pushing the 8N into a precarious position. Changed hydraulic fluid yesterday… those 2” drain plugs are some free...
My first tractor was a Ferguson 30. I learned the hard way about a live PTO. The inertia from the mower pushed me into the ditch. After that I bought a clutch from the local farm store and placed it on the PTO shaft.
A couple of years back, the Allis needed some work on the front axle spindle and the lift was very handy for the work required. They have ag applications too.
If you find a used brush hog mower, many of the older ones were not equipped with an over running clutch. If you encounter that, an over running clutch can be purchased as a PTO attachment for your 8N.
[on the chance you are not familiar...

Friend found this in a Culdesac in McKinney thaw house had a 2 car garage with a one car attached. He had never seen the one car opened in ten plus years. One day he noticed it up, and spotted the front end of an FJ40. It took a couple of years...
Oh he's not gonna pass from his cancer soon, it;s in remission and he has a great outlook........he just chose to spend the near future on other things other than this truck......
In my days of youth, I had a after school job at a trucking company where I changed many semi tires on split rims.
Beyond concurring with the advice that has already been shared, we used automatic transmission fluid as the lube for mounting...
I did the same thing. Fortunately oil didn't make it to the ceiling! After that I added a relief valve to dump pressure fast. Also don't like the little regulator on it and rigged up a separate hose/regulator to more easily control pressure...
@Waorani I have that same oil tank. The first time I had drained it I pumped the air up to about 40lbs and opened the valve,,,,BIG MISTAKE.
Cleaned up oil for 2 hours.. it only needs a few psi and it flows easily
Thanks for solving the mystery. I saw one a couple of weeks back on Ponce near Mary Mac's. I told my daughter about it and she said that she had seen two with names painted on them. And I thought the swarm of driverless taxis running around...
Told myself I wouldn't do it - but I did. Lowered car down on an oil drain tank. Barely made a noise but I heard it and stopped. Bad thing is I probably looked right at it walking up to lower lift. Cheap HF tank so was able to straighten fairly...
If it would aid discussions in this 73, I have the original bumper from my '86. It is not in perfect shape nor is it a mangled mess.
I am not exactly close by, but still in the region and with a trip to Uwharrie in Oct (plus Windrock for 70...
Check on your terminology;
SA = South America or SA = Saudi Arabia
This question may not matter in that it would be profoundly important for me to have someone that I have trust and confidence in (such as Meshal or AJ)...
Sad state for the country. This swift stuff. Amzing it happened right before the nfl season. They will probably get married as a superbowl halftime show. Growing up in the south with 3 tv channels (no cable or satellite available), we never...
3-1/2” foam board going on. It gets cemented on with the same 50/50 mix of Portland cement and STO primer that I plastered the inside of the domes with. You use a 1/2” notched trowel to make vertical lines, so if any moisture happens to...
