Started cleaning up my t-case housing with wire wheels. Getting years for crud and old undercoating off of it. It won't be as nice as a full removal and resto but it's the best it will get for now.

Brought this home today.

Somehow I feel that your windshield would have been history in that case if it was up too.

Servicing the original starter 28100-60041, 28100-60061 is not very difficult. Finding replacement parts for a complete rebuild is. It’s also not easy on the wallet. For me, I like the original sound of the OEM starter.

A little before and after is always nice. This came out way better than expected.

So I guess my transmission came with a complimentary built in coffee grinder. :oops:

FYI....if you think you can order a rebuilt FJ40/60 alternator with internal regulator as described on Parts Geek website complete with correct pictures.....you can...BUT...you will receive a Chinese made/remanufactured alternator without a...

Make sure all your body mounts are in the correct place to including your bib, rubber spacers one fender skirts for hood, adjust your fenders up or down, fwd and aft tilt where the four bolts mount to frame. May even need to tweak them out a bit...

When you say "regular" slot are you speaking of a DIN opening or the smaller FJ40 opening? If this fits my 78 USA FJ40 with the lower dash pads and no cutting (of the FJ40 - I'm fine trimming the bezel) it sounds like a winner.

Looking for the "Jam Nut" or quad ring for the top of the OEM Fj40 power steering gear box that goes around the input shaft on top. I was removing mine and it snapped. Thanks for any help
