is the 91 and 97 fan clutch the same? it look like it to me and can part#FCT017 AISIN fan clutch fit the 91 fj80? thanks.

No they are not the same, the shearing area and IIRC spacing (depth) differs. I don't have one of each handy to compare, may fit, but not the same. Might be a good thing to confirm, if it would mount, the 1FZ clutch would be an upgrade for the FJ80, more powerful.
The Aisin crossover lists that as a 2F clutch, Toyota part# 16210-61121. They have a small shear area, relatively wimpy, may fit, but not correct and likely wont have the power needed.
