My recently acquired 1991 80 Series HDJ80 Landcruiser GXL with Factory Turbo Diesel (my last 80 cracked a head and has done 500k so a rebuild was gunno cost over 20k so I purchased another with low k's and has other goodies. It has a catch can with a vent. I can smell venting gasses in the cab. Is it ok just to remove the vent and plug the top?

In a perfect world, one would just do an EGR delete, and then get rid of the catch can.
