Hello Mudmates,

I was going to have a good friend that has a body shop paint my hood (center raised section) flat black. This looks cool and eliminates glare from the sun. I found an alternate solution....

I contacted Isotel and he will start working on one for our 100 series in a week or so after he finishes another project.

I told him i would put up a post to guage interest. I am in for sure. Anyone else like the idea?

Great idea, but my rig is already black. Not sure how it would look but I like the idea from a functional standpoint.

would look great with a new fender :flipoff2:

You're a dirty bastard, you know that? :flipoff2:

It'll look even better if I can score an ARB from the deal, but unlikely.

i've always liked the black hoods... i'm pretty sure someone was already making these for 100 series in vinyl... i will post the link if i can remember where i found them...

I've been thinking about this exact thing! I have a white 100 so I'm deffinitely interested. Please post pictures as soon as you get yours applied.
Thanks!

There are two different hoods, one for the Land Cruiser and one for the LX470. TLC Dan has a LX, and I may have some time to swing down to CS in a week, or this coming weekend and let you measure mine up :D

an idea for the LC

I think the LX one should go from the top grille corners all the way up to the a-pillar.

I'll see if I can find a good shot to demon-straight.

I am in the Springs (Academy). Could this be done in graphite?

I didnt fill it in because PS isnt loaded on here and it'd look like ash if I made it all one color

Can anyone post up their version of how it should look?

Also, anyone in Colorado Springs with a 100 that i could use to Measure?

Trevor

PM sent.

Isotel,

I want it exactly like 1loudLX has it in post 14. From the grill all the way up to the windshield including the little kick-outs.

Desert Yeti,

I am pretty sure Isotel could do it for under $100 (based on the other products on his website) Lets hope so anyway.....

Besides i'd rather support our fellow Mudmates:grinpimp:

Thanks for getting the ideas flowing! Can you guys Get me measurements of the Width of the hood on the rear? and the lenght of the hood.

im limited to about 45" due to the width of the vinyl 3M Offers.. so either length or width will need to be less than that.

Yes Under $100 shipped
