Jon's friend Brad and workers did all 3 80's this Saturday and did a great job he really hooked us up and said he will do the same for our club members on whatever he sells just be sure to let him know you're a member and he'll do his best to take care of us. What others charged $220 he did for $135 and they worked for it on the 80's. He charged Scott more because they had to strip the old tint off first. Jon stopped by to visit and finish up the stickers for us so we had a good visit. I'm enjoying the tint already as it makes a big difference on the temp inside and AC cools off much faster.

He also did Jon's FJ the day he bought it.

Little pricey

I appreciate it, but I agree with Scott...not looking to drop an extra 100 on screens. They are pretty cool though.

THE TINT IS GREAT!!! I have had many vehicles tinted and these guys may have done the best work. Thanks for getting us in touch with Brad...He aslo gave me a pretty good quote on getting some blasting and powder coating done.

I agree and Brad seems like he can be good resource that'll work with us for things like that. Better than we can do here. I'm going to let him spray my rockers with some rhino to cover my sloppy work. He gave me a good price as well. We can thank Jon for his hookups over there. They also can help us out when we want to make up a custom sticker run again. :)

What's the contact info for Brad? I need to get the 40's front end blasted

Scott...based on the heat that we are currently facing, I just may have to place an order for one of these. Did yours and Pauls work well?

Its listed in the sponors and vendors thread Brian. I'll go get it and PM it to you. He doesn't do the blasting but I can give you the number to the guy I use at S&S Coatings he does all my stuff and will even prime it for you. :)

We haven't used ours yet because it was cool in Hot Springs. We hadn't even brought it.

It IS gonna get used at Sicily Island tho! It pulls the humidity waaay down. We hooked it up in the tent in the yard after we got it.

Hey guys where can I still find these lights for $99 ?

So whats tougher than a ARB? I was confident it would hold up and now that I've bent it I feel I need more. Gonna try and straighten it out with the winches and highlift if I can't I'm gonna bring it to a frame shop.

I looked again today Albert and O'Reilly is not listing the 7" I'll keep an eye out for you. :)

I also bent the ARB on my last vehicle but that was after rolling 3 1/2 times  . I was pleased with it but they need to be made with the bar taller to protect the radiator instead of flat with the hood line IMHO.

I've been interested in the Slee shortbus bumper, but I have no idea if it is any more or less tough than the ARB. I don't like the Slee's short bullbard though. I've hit a deer before with a company truck and it crushed the radiator and i'd just be heartbroken if I did that to the cruiser.

About the ARB, that FJ Cruiser that nailed that tree at Paradise had one and it bent...of course that was a hard hit too.

My fugly bumper on the 97 is twice as thick as the ARB on my 96 but they both seem to be vulnerable in that same area. Those wrap around corners are not supported until they meet with the frame. I will try and download the video of you and Ross (light blue 40) tagging trees at about the same time. I have tried to download video in the past with no luck.:frown::banana:

You're right they went away from that. The older ones made for the 40's went over the hood if I remember right. Roo killers. Ouch, rolling 3 1/2 times sure tested it.

I like the short bus too but don't think it would be a good trail bumper for the woods where I'm bumping trees out the way.

That FJ at Paradise may of not walked away from that hit without that ARB

I bumped quite a few which I do often but don't remember any hard enough to bend it like I did :meh: video is always cool
