Hello all. Putting my 100 up for sale as I’m looking to move into a 60. This has been my daily driver since April of 22’ when I bought it at 212k miles. Car spent all of its life in Tennessee and Alabama/Georgia and has spent the last 55k here in Houston. Previous owners religiously had the car serviced at Toyota dealerships.
I picked the car up completely stock. I went through it and baselined it when I got it home just to freshen everything up to date for my peace of mind. OEM parts were used for everything under my ownership except for upper control arms, coil springs and steering rack bushings.
Last winter I completely tore down the inside of the car to the bare floor all the way up to the dashboard, cleaned and scrubbed everything...

For sale is my 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser 100 series. Finished in color white, this vehicle is in GREAT shape. It is the most desirable year 100 series... As it has the REAR DIFF lock. It is in 8.5/10 condition on the exterior, and 7.5/10 condition in the interior. The engine runs strong and has ZERO issues. Mechanically it is in GREAT/TOP shape. I just had an alignment done, radio antenna replaced, and valve cover oil leak fixed @ Land Cruiser NW in PDX. There is ZERO leaks now. No oil leaks or coolant leaks. The timing belt and water pump were done at 200k miles. This Cruiser has a CLEAN CARFAX with no wrecks or accidents.
It is a beautiful example of a 100 series. And it's the best LC color... White!

Value and money are all very subjective but it sure would be nice to keep my 06 rust free cruiser (even though it does have almost 365k miles) and drive this 99 after a little elbow grease and wool wax on the undercarriage.

I’m in the market for a 100 series and found one locally. Assuming it’s lived in TN or a surrounding state but waiting to a confirmation. Trying to get a date/time to look at in person but did get some undercarriage pics ahead of time.
Does the rust pictured look concerning enough to make this a no? Undercarriage doesn’t look terrible, but the pitting on the rear side of the passenger door looks pretty substantial. Does rust in this area lead to significant problems?

I am going against all advice I've read online and buying a 100 series as a daily driver as single male living in LA with no wrenching skills :)
Was hoping folks could chime in on if this might be a fair deal. Seems the market is really tough right now. This would be my max budget and is modded exactly how I would want.
OR my alternative option is a clean 2003 LX470 w/ 150k miles for $17,000. But it has a dent on the front left fender and I'm pretty attached to the VVTI years having owned a 2007 v8 4unner in the past.

I thought this is a super nice one until i see right side frame conditions. My 02 got some rust being from Michigan but I think she was saved just in time now that she’s in S Cal. I occasionally replaced hardwares, sway bar mounts, spare tire mount, recently replaced the fuel tank shield and skid plate, more cosmetic than functional. Little by little she’s looking pretty good, ride is rock solid. But this one is in such great condition just any thoughts she may be saved? Question is whether the frame is too far gone to be considered repairable? And whether a qualified frame shop may be able to extend the life of the frame before completely compromised? Hi everyone - I'm considering selling a LC I inherited from my Mom a couple of years ago. I'm not sure how to value it and would appreciate any feedback. It has 120,000 miles and was purchased 6 months old in 1999 from a family friend. It sat in a covered driveway for about 6 years at my Mom's house.
