I nearly bought it for $7K from another gentleman in IA and the frame along with it that needed swapped. I should have done it, but I didn't. That's a mistake on my part. He swaps the frame and tries to sell it with that same bent from bumper for $13K. It didn't sell and now it has a fresh bit of paint and plenty of undercoating to cover up the nasties... And you guessed it, it's doubled again to $29.5K. His description:

Hey gang, long shot here but looking for a tub (have doors, roof and barn doors) but both tubs I have are pretty bad. Looking for a repairable tub before I order one from China. I know it's a long shot, but this community surprises me each time. Looking for a later 1979-onwards tub.

Looking to sell my 1983 FJ40. Was restored in Venezuela and purchased by a boutique Charlotte car dealer at a Mecum auction in Pennsylvania. I have spent $10K getting is fully sorted out as well as removing the hard top (I don't have it any longer) and installing a custom roll cage and bimini top. WARN winch. Beautiful navy blue with tan interior. Gets more commentary/looks/picture requests than any car/truck I have ever owned including some exotics. All OEM parts and really nicely done restoration. I am selling my 4 door FJ40 Land Cruiser that was built on a 1996 FZJ80 frame, suspension, axles. The cowl, hood, windshield is from a 1972 FJ40 and is registered as a 1972 smog exempt. The tub is the aluminum 4 door tub from Aqualu.
Vehicle has done slick rock trail multiple times including the gauntlet. Also wheeled into rubicon springs and back. Very capable vehicle.

This is a project that I acquired. Its on one ton axles Dana 60 front with a full Detroit locker and in the rear a spooled 14 bolt. The motor has been removed I had a small block chevy in it before with a new turbo 350 and a NP205 transfer case. Previous owner was starting a conversion to a 4BT motor. It has brand new 38x13.5x17 tires on it with aluminum wheels. The body is in very good shape one rust hole in the back drivers side panel. It’s a project but it’s all there. Might be parting it out if I get interest in that. I have the title in my name for it as well.

Original motor is with it and is complete body has some rust in the outer sheet metal but floors and important stuff are solid. Ramsey pto winch is in nice shape, warn hubs, nice tailgate, windshield, frame, and grille. Would be a fun project for the right person or it has a lot of nice parts. Clear title

1972 FJ40 was an original Factory Soft Top (still have the Darth Vader lamp cover). It has DUI ignition, Saginaw power steering, 1989 FJ62 front disk breaks. Longfields, Long’s gun-drilled front axels. I have a new in the box Dakota Digital. Comes with Bestop soft top. F-Engine 3speed. Power coated wench front bumper. Power coated rear bumper with tire Carrier & Yeti 45 carrier. Power coated dash bezel & glove box. New power coated side steps (still in wrapper). Dual gas tanks. Includes 2 sets of quick door hinges. Has Sliders. City Racer head lights.
It does need body work, but mechanically it is sound. I’ve taken trips to all of the New England states. She will run all day long at 65 mph.

I've been lurking here for a few years studying build threads as I work away on a 40 I bought up in WY. I've learned alot from some great threads and amazing members. And Ive finally learned that I don't have the time this project needs to finish. I hate giving up on something but it's time to let this one go.

Looking for the inner frame gussets for both sides from steering box back to rear of cab on the INSIDE of the frame rails. These are riveted into frame and have a series of 2-3 inch hole spaced out. Good solid condition. Thank you.

I took on trade earlier this year with high hopes but life has changed. Single owner California only rig, I just got registration current and have a new title in hand.
Odometer is at 14,635 not sure how many times it has rolled over.
I reviewed a video of it running a month before it was delivered to me. I tossed an extra battery in it back in April and she wanted to fire. Not sure of running condition beyond that.
What you see in pictures is that you get, with the exception I do have the rear door glass + frame, original skid plate and an additional windshield.
