Looking for an FJ40 (2F 76'-79 would be ideal) amb doors.
I have spent the past few months searching the nearby area for some and
have taken a few road trips... what a blast, but need to expand my
scope beyond Craigslist and eBay is not for me.
Looking for mostly to complete stock, matching VINs, something that is close to a complete restoration if possible, minor surface rust to none...
There has to be some nice rigs out there for sale nearby?

Hello, I have a project 1968 FJ40 Landcruiser that is titled a 1969 from what I have been told. It does run, original FJ40 engine with electric fuel pump, weber carb. Mark from Socal did time it, install distributor, adjust it to run.
It was a project for me, but with my ongoing college bills, most likely for 2 more years I will not hae anymore spare funds to complete it.
Guys and gals please give me some opinions on value as well???

a friend of mine is selling his fj40 it is restored to presitine condition the frame is powder coated every bolt in it is probably stainless steel, in great mechanical shape. he restored it as close to as original a restore can and be really functional. i would buy it if i had the cash.

Anyone interested in a 1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40? I bought it for parts but need to make space for another car. I does start and but runs rough. It has the rear panels, fender wells and floorboard cut out. It would make a good vehicle to restore. It has most of the original parts but would need lots of work to drive. A recently restored 1982 FJ40 Land Cruiser.
The restoration was a complete off body restoration. The frame was sandblasted, acid etched and painted.
Front and rear brakes were rebuilt and replaced. The shocks, springs and steering stabilizer are new off road "Old Man Emu" with a 2.5 inch lift.
The clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing were replaced while the engine and transmission were separated.
Power steering was added to enhance drive-ability and safety.
The body is a brand new aluminum body from Aqualu in Kelowna British Columbia.
The floor area of the tub was sprayed with Raptor brand color coded bedliner for increased durability in the passenger compartment.

I'm looking for a 79-84 Land Cruiser FJ40. I'm looking anywhere between a project 40 (meaning something that runs and drives but needs body work, paint refresh) and that has all the parts on it. Not interested in someone's project thats torn apart. This truck would be in the $5000 range...give or take a grand. I'm looking for a complete truck.

I'll be going through a bankruptcy and need to sell my 69 FJ40, I just won't have time or funds to give her the attention she needs for awhile now. I have taken a first round of photos but I can take more later on this week/weekend as requested.
I'm asking $2500 but am open to reasonable offers in an attempt to not completely lose the money I put into it.
Pros:
Body is pretty clean overall but not perfect
Motor, Transmission, Xfer case and axles are all stock (and afaik original actually)
Cons:
There's still a couple rust spots
It needs a lot of work on the steering, electrical, motor, etc

So recently I had been looking for an FJ60 in the southeast area, however I realized that I really didn't need that type of a vehicle.
I am looking for a 1966 - 1972 FJ40. Something that doesn't have too much rust (some is expected), in driving condition, hard top in decent shape (possibly needing a new paint job or a little work), rather have the the front bench seats over the buckets, and would prefer a Cruiser that isn't all hacked up..
Looking to spend roughly $4000 - $4500 on the vehicle, however I know I'll have to invest much more to fix it up..
If not in the South East, I would consider buying and shipping, but would like to keep the total purchase in my budget.
