listing this for my buddy branden. he has had the cruiser for about a year and needs something more practical so it's gotta go. some of you guys may have seen this rig at this year's "fj45 run". he drove it up there and back without any problems at all.
1975 fj40.
current registration, clean CA title, smog excempt.
2F engine with header, sm420 trans and stock t-case. SOA with minitruck disc brake conversion in the front, done about 6 months ago. at the same time he installed a brand new marlin crawler high steer kit. saginaw ps conversion, confer shackles, stainless brake lines, welded spider gears in the rear axle, limited slip in the front, tilt column ( a little sloppy; needs to be rebuilt ), 35" procomp tires on 16" streetlock wheels ( about a year old ) FCFabrication comp cage( also less than a year old, he paid $1200 for this ) .......
starts, runs and drives good. could use some tinkering. it does have couple of smaller leaks and the brake lights don't work right now. cruiser has a warn upright winch that needs to be hooked up.
the paint job is rattle can olive drab, comes with a couple of cans for touch up. the fenders were cut to make room for the bigger tires but they're done well, not a hack-job. a couple of dings and dents here and there, but nothing major. the worst one is on the passenger side towards the front of the hood. the tub has virtually no rust. never been on it's side or rolled over so the body/tub is straight.
this is a dd/wheeler, not a show rig. it's located in stockton CA. i can take more pics of it if need be.
he's asking $6000 sorry, no trades. he just bought another car.
