For me, brake performance includes brake pedal effort. I think 75 lbs is generally accepted as a good number and the average person can modulate that upon threshold/emergency braking. My '98 is pretty good stock but once you add 35's and 1000 lbs of weight, brake pedal effort goes significantly up. It's more difficult to modulate 150 lbs of brake force. OTOH, my '16 brakes are overboosted. I'm on 35's and the brakes are very sensitive. Need bigger tires! I wish there was an adjustable brake booster.

Stumbled on these wheels for sale from Cruiserparts. Not sure if they are actually available so you would have to inquire.

Electric Brake Booster/ABS/ATRAC Delete
-I have not seen anybody do this mod yet but somebody might be interested! I checked and Toyota uses these components with our same brake calipers. It would also require a F/R proportioning valve. Not sure how one would deal with the ABS/ATRAC errors.

I purchased these parts for my 1999 LX470 which has a rebuilt ABS unit in it. The unit was rebuilt by Andy Lee and has caused nothing but trouble for me.

I've rebuilt it myself now and it still leaks fluid from the pressurized cylinder back into the reservoir. I recommend people go with new OEM over a rebuild every time. I could rebuild it again and again with mixed results but I'd rather just rest assured that it will work correctly with new OEM...

...or delete it altogether. Simplifying things is appealing to me since I use this truck so hard off road.

Not sure I know much about proportioning valves...time to read this thread I suppose:

Since I've never used the rear heaters, I deleted the heater Ts and went with direct direct hoses. I believe @cruiserpatch sells these. Removed the chance of rear heater cores leaking in the future.

This GGC (Gulf Coast Council) 100-Series engine is the 1FZ-FE 4.5-liter Inline-6 paired with the H151F 5-speed manual heavy duty transmission. I believe it is rated at 212 HP vs. US-spec 2UZ at 230. But don't hold me to that.

Here's my low spec 100-series from the Middle East. Comes with Cloth seats, no CD-player, steel wheels, black hardened plastic front and rear bumpers, no sunroof, and 5-speed manual transmission.
