Not mine, but looks pretty good from pictures. $3000. Has soft top doors, tail gate and looks to have some of the bows. Didn't see much rust in pics. Motor locked up. I'd pick it up, but my partner would kill me. Hope it goes to good home.

WOW WOW WOW what a great cruiser this is. The greatest thing is this is truly all original and everything is complete and working. I have owned it for 18 months, my first cruiser and have the bug now. Bought another so need to make room. I drive this one several times a week around town, my daughter learned to drive and my wife drives it. Had it at the deer lease last year in the Palo Duro Canyon. 4 wheel drive works great, guys called it the billy goat. I know it spent a lot of time in San Antonio prior to my owning it and I believe some time down on the coast which would account for some of the rust. I bought it from a dentist in Southlake...

This is a 1979 fj40 with factory power steering. it was stripped down to the frame, body was sent of to get soda blasted and professionally painted. the underside of the body was rino lined black. not pictured but have the entire hard top. i have most of the new weather stripping just not installed. also have new factory rims and hubcap. i have all the factory seats that are in very good shape. i have over $6000 in the soda blasting and painting alone have another $2000 in factory weather stripping. let alone the actual land cruiser. i also have brand new still in the bag door panels from toyota. overall this is 75% done with all the parts needed to fully reassemble. would like to get 17,000. when it is full together it should be a...

I purchased this Land Cruiser from a mechanic at Man-A-Fre (a Southern California Land Cruiser specialty shop, http://man-a-fre.com) who built it as his personal rig. It has been well cared for and improved where possible since I bought it in 2004. I love this Cruiser. It is the third one I have owned in the last 20 years and it is by far the most capable and the most fun to drive.

1975 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40 FOR SALE.
Front axle
Front axle has 4:11 Toyota ring and pinion gear with an Eaton Detroit locker. It has G2 4340 chromoly inner axle shafts and birfields. They are 30 spline at all three points with Aisin locking hubs with chromoly inners like that that came out on 1978 FJ40’s. Got rid of the junk Warn hubs and tiny 16 spline birfields. It has more modern FJ80 front disc brakes with two piston calipers and heavy vented rotors. Trail gear 6 shooter knuckles and trunnion bearing eliminators with neoprene trail wiper felt replacements to top off a bullet proof front axle. 1 ¼ DOM drag link and cross member with FJ80 tie rod ends connect the 12:1 GM power steering box with almost perfect geometry...

Recent brand new Chevy V-8 350 and thorough going over and sorting by respected local shop (Fort Pitt Classic Cars) including lighting, fuel system, mechanicals, HVAC, secondary full tank. Everything works like it should. Retains original Toyota 4-speed manual which is beginning to show its age. Brand new rims and tires. I have had it for about seven months and the ONLY reason I am selling it is because my grandfather is giving me his FJ55 in a few weeks and the wife says the 40 has to go. I did not build the truck. Since I have owned her all I have done is wire in some brake lights, bikini top, and second set of tires for the street. Also included is a dual axle trailer with title and electric brakes.

If anyone knows of or is looking to sell their pre-1974 Fj40, I'm currently in the market for one. The more original, unmodified the better. Original paint, column shift (if applicable) and minimal rust would be a bonus. I have a decent budget so let me know what you've got.
