How cool is this? A 1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, Capri Blue, that is nearly rust free.... Or about as rust free as most of us will ever see.
This gem was bought new in the state of Texas where it resided until its original owner passed it down to his grandson who drove it back to Utah when the clutch went out on him. It was towed the remaining distance and then stored for the next 10+ years.
Here's what has been done since bringing it back from its grave...

I put this 40 for sale last fall, took a deposit on it, the guy was going to have me do a bunch of work to it then get it to him. I told him before we did work we needed more than the 500$ deposit. Well after nearly a year all I have is the deposit and he does not want the rig anymore. I am deducting the 500$ deposit from my price I originally sold it for to Mud members. I don't want to deal with craigslist.

Updated Price: $32,000. I bought this vehicle for $30k, have put over $10k in upgrades. Need a commuter vehicle up to Denver.
I purchased the FJ40 from a gentleman up in Denver, he did the V8/brakes/lift/front seats/roll cage/winch, not sure where, all other mods/work was done by Red Line Land Cruisers last year. Has been stored in a garage the entire time, located in Colorado Springs (a few miles away from Red Line). 128k miles on the body, engine conversion was done about 90k.
The guy I bought it from was born in South Africa, moved to Los Angeles later in life, grew up with FJ’s and decided had to have one like the one he grew up with. Purchased the FJ40, made it exactly how he wanted it, for cruising. Never took it off road...

Looks like its a super rare j42 style and includes the trailer. Unfortunately, not photos of the interior or engine bay. I actually saw this rig driving around town last week towing the trailer and it was glorious! Looked great from what I could tell, however it was driving in the opposite direction.
Nice truck. Runs and drives really nice. Interior has all been re upholstered. I have a headliner for it that is going in this week. I also have a complete OME lift that will be going on it with new 33x10.50x15 BFG's. That will $2500 to the price once that is added. This is a nice, solid truck. It had a repaint about 7-8 years ago that is nice but not perfect.
It has original floor pans front and back that are in good condition.
