I'm new to the group and live in Norcal. I had a 1977 Fj40 as my first rig almost 30 years ago. It had a Chevy 350 in it and I added a bunch of other things to it as I earned cash. I sold it when I joined the Marines and regret the sale to this day. Now I have 3 boys getting close to driving and I want them to learn how to work on trucks, etc. Looking for another 350 equipped (will take original engine) FJ40 that needs some work. Hoping to stay in the $8-10k range. Thanks in advance.

1973 FJ40 body with title for sale. Does not include frame or drivetrain. I purchased this Cruiser as an unfinished project, but I've realized I don't have time for it and my '78 FJ40 project both.
The '73 body is rust free. It has had a couple of interior patch panels cleanly installed. This body would be great for someone with a complete, running, rusty FJ40 that needs restoration. There are some parts missing such as seats, instrument cluster, glove box door, dash pad, etc. They were missing when I got it. However, there are many parts that are with it - heater, seat brackets, steering column with wheel, gas tank, dash switches, etc.

Its with a heavy heart that I am letting go of my 40. Mainly because I have a chance to buy an old 72 cheby pickup that belonged to my father. But I do need a commuter while I take my 80 down for heart transplant as well.
Got the air locker air lines ran yesterday and field tested. they work great. The other small stuff is all easily fixable I have just had too many irons in the fire as of late. Just put the tires on a few months back Cali reg is due this month. 100$

New Mexico vehicle all its life. Can't prove it but I can provide documents going back to 2002. Guy I bought it from kept a ton of reciepts for it.3" notebook with all his papers and some of the previous owners before him. He told me he bought it from the original owners in Albuquerque. I believe him based on how honest he as been with everything. That I found broken or bad on the vehicle. He hadn't once hid anything from me. Good guy.
Gauges work. ODO is fixed and turning again. ALL lights except the headlights are new. Has a new headlight switch.

I'm looking for an FJ40. I'm looking in all the usual places but figured I'd throw this up in case someone has something not listed anywhere.
I'd like something that needs as little work as possible as I'm buying to drive it, not to work on it. Between my job and being in the Guard I have little free time and the last thing I need is another project. I have time for maintenance and small upgrading but no time for full restores. I'm looking to keep it forever and leave it to my nephew when I croak (hopefully many years from now).
Must haves:
- an original engine that doesn't need tons of work (no v8 swaps)
- body with no holes
- as stock as possible as I like the original look of the truck and am not crazy about mods
- respectable...

Selling my 1978 FJ40, great running truck, F2 motor, 4 speed trans, ambulance doors, new tires, new bilstein shocks, new water pump, and new radiator. Was my daily driver until I got my new taco great vehicle, hope it goes to a good home......the driver handle just broke, there is bad rust under the diamond corners, P.O. didn't want to deal with it and neither do I right now, some kind of metal over the rear but holds solid. 1981 Toyota landcruiser BJ40 from Canada. $10,000 obo. It has the original 3.4 liter diesel 3B engine with a 4 speed manual transmission. I imported it from Canada 4 years ago and it has an Oregon title with current tags. The body is in rough shape with the tub and top probably needing replacement. I replaced the front windshield frame with an aluminum one from Aqua lu. The rear ambulance doors are fiberglass reproductions from SOR. The hood and front fenders are still in good shape. I have an extra set of doors that are in pretty good shape. There is rust damage on the frame on the rear driver side.

Need room in garage. 99% stock 66' daily driver, great condition and runs excellent. 122k miles. Repainted and reupholstered 12 years ago and has perfect amount of patina. Only area of rust is inner wheel wells, all other panels and floors are solid. Original 6cyl engine and 3 on the tree. Drives perfect and straight with no rattles. I'm selling my 1974 FJ40/Green w/ hard top - Location: Golden, Colorado
Since purchasing, I've had my mechanic do a clutch adjustment and tune up. I've also cleaned up the wiring for all electrical systems, and made a repair to the windshield wipers. She's got a V8 under the hood, 35" super swampers, and of course the lift. Personally I'd like to reduce the size of the tires/wheels and get it back to a more original look if I were to keep it. In all honestly, the current setup would go a long way for someone to sell the wheels/tires and fund what they want rather than what I want. This is a tough decision for me because I LOVE the green paint and hard top on this one. The hard top is in great shape, and even has a nice headliner...

The FJ25 is the predecessor to the FJ40 and is very rare to find one fully restored. Owned by the same family since 1959, it was rescued from a coffee plantation and restored to it's new glory. Every part on this restoration is extremely rare. Full engine and running gear rebuild, everything. Like new.

1970 FJ40 with Ford 302 conversion project in progress. Have engine trans out at the moment. You get it ALL including the title and plates! If it is cruiser related it is yours. Have new wiring harness, extra birfields, core calipers for disc conversion between the rails fuel tank ect. WILL NOT PART OUT. You buy and part it out.
