1975 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 I have had this for a bit. It is a basket case. I know it is. I have a youngling on the way and would love to have a bit more of my driveway back. I am negotiable in the price. There are no fenders or doors or drivetrain. It was set up for a smallblock and an SM465. The tub had some great Butch Built qualities to it. Anderson 415-627-7633
NFS (yet) Value in US Market
Looking to hear opinions, evidence, and get better info on the value of one of these BJ pickups if sold in the US market? Interest, places to sell one, etc...? 1992. 5 speed. 702 diesel, 61,000 original miles. Should have AC as well Location: Brazil A little background on me. I started importing vintage VW's (a few shown) several years ago and have had my eye on these since they are just so cool and I have always wanted an FJ (currently have a 100 series with 315,000 as our daily for 14 years). I don't necessarily need help or advice on importing laws or which years qualify etc... I know that generally 1996 and earlier diesel are fairly straightforward to import. However I love a good discussion on the merits and value of the cars...
I have a nice Olive Green FJ40 for sale. I purchased the FJ from the original owner who was an officer in the Air Force purchased the FJ in Arizona. The original owner never used the FJ for off roading, nor have I. This is a good FJ that runs and drives like it should with 138,620 miles. This FJ is "stock" except for the CCOT 2 1/2 " shackles and shocks. Has smog equipment and was repainted by the original owner. FJ has Florida tag and clean FL title in my name. The FJ is located in Charleston, SC where i now live, I don't drive the FJ much and the FL tag is good until Aug, 2017 so i haven't bothered to transfer the title or tag. I'm asking $ 21,000 and will to accept offers. Winch is not included in sale, I think the FJ is worth more...
1973 Land Cruiser FJ40 with Chevy 350
Ok guys, I posted a few weeks ago that I was trying to sell my truck, but only had exterior photos. Here is one of them (a special one because it was for an actual modeling shoot) I also posted these photos with the hard top as well: Here's the part where I talk up the truck and tell you all of the stuff that I have tried to do right to it in the 2 years that I have had it: I found the truck in September '07 on Ebay. I liked it so much that I flew out the very next day from LA to Houston to check it out. I gave it a pretty solid look-over and drove it a bit. There were a few funky things about it in the electrical department, but overall I was pretty pleased. I gave him a pretty large check thanks to Capital One's blank check...
I took this off my 74 FJ40. It is in very good condition. With a fresh coat of spray paint it would look new. Comes with gutter clamps. I am 99% certain it is a Garvin Wilderness rack. It is located in Colorado Springs, CO. I could possibly ship it. Buyer would pay shipping costs. $300.00 firm. Call Bill (719)659-6144.
I got this FJ (I call her Myrtle) 6 years ago and had her fully restored (frame-off) by Scott Gesik at Restored FJ40 in Lincoln City, OR in 2012. I have driven her for 4 years and recently put in a 4 speed transmission, tow hitch, headliner, redid the brakes and removed all signs of rust that had returned since the frame-off. This work was done by Marshall at Trollhole Cruisers in Greenville. She's in great shape and I've never had any mechanical issues with her. She's been my daily driver for years and gets lots of looks. She really is one of the nicer FJ's out there. Just ask Marshall. Only serious inquiries please. $38,000
Hi All, I'm new here (just a couple of hours new :) Happy to have finally join!! I've been an observer for quite some time. Today I've taken what I hope is my first step towards owning a FJ40 (after a lot of learning and as it looks like, a lot of saving!!) I'm trying to learn which of the amazing FJ's will do a great first candidate to own and I thought why not to start from the top? I hope the owner don't get mad for posting this here and if anything will help him get her sold. Here is this really nice one in craigslist in Portland and it would be great to hear what you guys think. 1979 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser All the Best, Nick40 :)
Dallas,TX based buyer looking to purchase 1st FJ40. Shooting for a turn-key purchase (daily driver), with opportunity for improvements as budget allows. Like a classic look (not a real fan of lifted/big tires), removable hard top, ambulance doors, minimal rust, mechanically/structurally sound. Budget range of $10K-17K. Not opposed to out of state purchase, as willing to ship, but will need to put eyes on her before money exchange. Any leads or advice appreciated.
1968 FJ40 Land Cruiser
This 68 FJ40 is located in Sacramento CA. The Cruiser runs and drives well and is mostly stock. It was upgraded to the 2f motor, but still has the 3spd column shift. It is not perfect by any means but is a great start to a nice project or drive it as is. Has a small amount of rust on the bottom of the passenger door. I was thinking to fix that and get it painted, but my luck someone else would just paint it a different color anyways. Figure selling as is for a smaller price would be better. Call/text or PM me with more questions or info. $9500obo Thanks Rob 916 955 5361
