FOUND......Looking for a clean (us version) with a removable top. I am getting no where searching Craigslist. When a good one comes up for a decent price, a flipper gets there hooks in it and then wants twice what it's worth.
Please let me know what you could part with.

time to part with my 79 BJ41..... ive had her for about 6 years...i have way too much going on and need to part with something, the driveway and the weekends are just too full. no real time to do what i want with her so hopefully i can find someone to pick up where ive left off. i havent driven her much in the past 8 months...work is very busy..another project motorcycle out back, an old mercedes diesel in the driveway and a 53 VW oval window at my parents. so on this side,you can see a round cover on the apron that i bolted on..that was a hole from the p.o. with a snorkel. also notice the sunroof cut into the top..not by me. a few hard bubbles under the crotch cooler as well...
Does anyone know a proud owner of an fj43 in GA that I can connect with? I am thinking about getting one, but never actually drove one. Would love to connect with someone local and check it out. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

1975 toyota landcruiser HJ45 Diesel pickup. Similar to the FJ45 in style but with the diesel engine. All original "H" diesel engine matted "H41" resoration done yrs ago, runs strong. 4 speed manual transmission with granny first gear. the bed floor and tailgate are not original its 3/16 diamond plated.It's a head turner everywhere you drive it, very rare, hard to find.. truck registered in the state of california and truck is located in gonzales california

It is with much hesitation, I'm putting my FJ-45 up for sale. I'm building a new buggy and can't keep two rigs.
FJ-45 tub and modified bed sides
Frame-fully boxed tubing that is sealed and doubles as an air tank. It's fed by a belt driven York 210 compressor. There are hook-ups on both sides of the frame. You can run impact tools with this setup.
Engine- 6.0 GM. Headers. Jim's harness. Big ass aluminum radiator. Electric fan
Transmission- military TH-400, has 6 rides on it. PTC torque converter. 32-spline output. Finned cooler with electric fan. Art-Carr shifter.
Transfer case-203/205 doubler. 203 is flipped vertical for ground clearance. 205 is a passenger side drop. 32-spline outputs. Triple stick.
Suspension-4 Link front and rear. 1...
1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45/FJ40 Landcruiser
I am looking to purchase a '79-'84 BJ42 unicorn. I want one with a 3B, A/C, and power steering. I would love to find a US spec one, but any BJ will do as long as it can be/has been imported to the US. I will be restoring it but it won't sit in a garage the rest of its life; I intend to drive it most days and explore the desert SW with it. I don't mind one that needs a little work (some rust repair, repaint, reupholstery, etc), but I am not looking for a frame-off rescue project.
This is the truck I have always and I am finally in a place to buy one and love it.
