I have for sale a complete 1981 BJ42 that is right hand drive and 4spd. This truck had a moderate restoration a few years ago before the bottom of the engine seized and was taken apart. It has a clear Colorado title and is located in Frisco, CO $6,800 Obo
The truck is dune beige and the paint is ok with some areas needing repair like shown in the photos. The truck has new

I am going to part with 3 of my LV's. These are hard to value being there is so few of them out there. I would like to know what everyone thinks this truck is worth. It came from Ft. Collins, CO so the rust isn't as bad as most. We got it started a couple of years ago but haven't done anything with it since. It is located in Sheridan, WY now.
Thoughts everyone?
Plans have changed and I am selling my fj45. It is rough and needs much to be road worthy.
Negatives:
Pretty much needs everything.
Cab has been chopped into home brewed convertible.
Floors and rockers are rusty.
Doesn't run.
Floor shift and t case conversion.
Positives:
Early fj45 mostly complete.
Decent short bed with nice tailgate.
Original engine, oiled cylinders and turns.
Nice cowl and front sheet metal.
Matching is plate, frame and title.
Frame is solid and straight..
This is a great truck for parts or buy after market tub and build.

This LHD 1982 BJ 42 is a Canadian 24volt cold weather spec cruiser was "restored" 15yrs or so ago and is showing its age on the paint. Some rust in hood and cowl edges. 260K Km but will change as I drive it alot. It looks great still but isn't a con-course resto. I preferred this since I DD this truck... nice enough to take to a shows but not to nice to wheel. It has a 3/4 Aqualu tub, alum fenders and bib . I have rebuilt the head and replaced the head gaskets at the same time I swapped the H55 and FJ60 power steering. All units were gone threw and seals replace by Winberly4wd in Texas. I also had a New clutch, master and slave install at the same time. I have replace the front seat with new Smittybilt contour seat and matching console...
Not asking an arm and a leg, but rusty.

1980 HJ47 Troopy
2H redone - bottom end rebuilt prior tomy ownership and cylinders sleeved. Very clean. I replaced the head replaced over the winter. The old one had cracks. I bought a lightly used one (less than a year) from a friend who grenaded his bottom end.
Engine runs great. Excellent torque and sounds excellent.
New exhaust done last Tuesday
New alternator, hoses, brakes, water pump, glow plugs, ignition glow wires, door panels, seats, thermostat housing, etc. Way too much to list. My favorite part is the plastic trim piece...

So I bought this truck a couple of years ago. I looked for eight months and finally found a1978 45. I bought it in BC. I spent 24K getting into Colorado. I had Robbie Antonson@ Adventure offroad (Tech editor for Toyota Trails) build me a 3FE. Absolutely NO shortcuts. I used ALL Toyota parts. Everything I could buy new from Onur, I did. I ported and polished all the fuel-injected manifolds and head. I sandblasted and clear-coated all parts meticulously. I put hundreds of hours making every part just right. I think I have around six hundred hours into this, excluding what Robbie and Bill did. I am new to these forums and came across them in my search for an FJ. I am in the market for an FJ 45 long bed pickup. I prefer one that is not restored due to the fact that those seem to be a bit out of my price range, so my husband and I decided to get one we could fix up together.
It would need to have a solid body and frame, and I would prefer that most of the parts were there. We are planning on installing a larger engine and converting from standard to automatic, so the vehicle does not need to be operable. It also needs to be left hand drive.
If you have one you would be willing to sell, please let me know. We are in Ohio, but we are willing to have one shipped in, depending on how much the shipping will end up costing...
