lets discuss this event.
timing?
i suspect that with the snow and ice the south trail will be a "challenge". i will suggest we plan on sleeping on the trail that night. agreed?
truck requirements?

anything else?

The weekend of April 15-17 is looking great for us.
We will be heading up on friday, hoping to be at Parry Sound for 12 - 1 pm approx.
As for sleeping if we are looking for another trail out it would be a good idea.
Maybe wheel in to Dogfish Lake set up camp and leave from there on Sat morn.

First you should have one!!!! lol
Mechanically sound, check over completely
Four wheel drive operational
Brakes and Tires in good condition
Proper tow hooks mounted securely
and a good tow strap for the LandBlazer to pull you out!!!!!!

hummm, if you never take a chance you never get stuck.

to me "Proper tow hooks mounted securely" is one of the most important.

next would be:
"if you don't have brakes that work then make sure you can steer downhill backwards well"

not sure but Alex in his HJ60 might be coming out.

We have always asked for:
Good brakes & decent offroad tires.
Solid tow points front and rear.
Tow strap and clevis.
2 way radio
Other good things to carry
Shovel & axe
Fire Ext. & first aid kit
Hi Lift jack

I always hope that people realize that when we say we are camping in the bush on the trail that they know to bring camping equipement and supplies for the weekend. The bathing suit is usually only required for the summer run, but in your case Romey you should have it at all times!!!
