Sold BJ42 LX 1982 SALE South Florida Sold

Sold I bought a 82 BJ42 a few years ago as a little side toy that never really got played with. For the most part she has sat in storage since I got her. I am coming up on another deployment and would like to sale her to someone that might get a little use out of her. She is a 1982 RHD diesel Land Cruiser with about 195,000 kilometers and the LE zebra interior. She runs fine and I have never had a problem with her except when I tried to replace the fuel filter... couldn't figure out how to purge the air. Attached are some pictures I took last week at the park. If you would like to see more a different angle or the full resolution shoot me an email. I am looking to get 16k for her but I am willing to negotiate on price as I would like to sale her before my next deployment. Sold

Nice!!

Nice rig! It looks to be a BJ42 LX but with only two wipers. It seems to have the rest of the LX trim items (including the tach!)

If the buyer doesn't want the bumper, let me know! Good luck with the sale!

Is the striping painted or applied vinyl? Never driven a rhd, anyone want to give the positive vs. negative of a rhd? Any chance you have a YouTube video of the truck running?

i have been driving RHD mixed with LHD for the last 10 years.
RHD have their own characteristics to adapt to. passing on a 2 lane takes more care than LHD obviously but it can be done safely. your driving a diesel 42 so that isn't a concern anyway.
turning left at an intersection is dangerous in either a LHD or a RHD.
turning right at a gradual intersection is more frustrating in a RHD since you now have the passengers head, the B pillar, passenger seat back and a longer (read tunnel) view to look to see if anyone is coming. you learn to prelook the traffic AS you come up to the intersection.
i have had no issues and the 200+ RHD land cruiser buyers have had no issues so yes it can be done safely.
what i have found is if the person sucks at driving RHD they suck at LHD driving as well.
also
if someone says "i could never drive a RHD" then they probably can't, it is a mind set.

after all, many posties drive RHD vehicles and they are much smarter than we are ... right?

The stripe is a decal, it came with it and I thought it added a little flare so I kept it. Also wanted to point out it is 12 volt. As driving a RHD vs LHD I say the biggest difference is going through a toll booth or a drive through which you don't really think about till you have to. Also a point of conversation at stop light.

I owned an hj47 rhd at one time. It took me about two days to get used to it. After that, the only distractions were when people wanted to talk at stop lights, etc. The McDonald's drive through was a challenge too. POP it in neutral, pull the e brake up, and shift over to the left seat....too easy.
