Sold BJ42 LX 1982 SALE South Florida Sold

Sold I bought a 82 BJ42 a few years ago as a little side toy that never really got played with. For the most part she has sat in storage since I got her. I am coming up on another deployment and would like to sale her to someone that might get a little use out of her. She is a 1982 RHD diesel Land Cruiser with about 195,000 kilometers and the LE zebra interior. She runs fine and I have never had a problem with her except when I tried to replace the fuel filter... couldn't figure out how to purge the air. Attached are some pictures I took last week at the park. If you would like to see more a different angle or the full resolution shoot me an email. I am looking to get 16k for her but I am willing to negotiate on price as I would like to sale her before my next deployment. Sold

install a bench
or
as some of the RHD Canucks do, get a 2 ft aluminum pipe with a set of claws on the end to swipe the card or to pay for stuff...

Is the striping painted or applied vinyl? Never driven a rhd, anyone want to give the positive vs. negative of a rhd? Any chance you have a YouTube video of the truck running?

Both of my children learned how to drive my RHD Cruisers when they got their drivers license. The oldest child drove one for years and still prefers it over a LHD vehicle.:) If a 15 year old can safely drive one, how hard can it be?:D

Interested in photos of floorboards under mats.....Any rust anywhere, power steering, A/C?

Sent pm....

Thanks!

I've said this elsewhere, but I'll say it here: RHD is better for tall people, in my humble opinion. I'm 6'6" and I vastly perfer driving my RHD Cruiser to my LHD one. I have a nice door to rest my throttle leg against and my clutch leg can go out to the middle of the rig and not get squished between the steering wheel and door as in a LHD. I can drive a RHD FJ45 pickup reasonably comfortably but not a LHD 45 pickup.

The only big issue I found was when one has a passenger who has never been in a RHD before they have a tendency to get twitchy since they have no controlls where they are used to having them. As for drive-throughs, I became well-known at my bank for reversing through and they thought it was hillarious.

I use to really enjoy watching the cops when they noticed my young daughter setting on the "driving side" of my RHD Cruisers.:)
