I have a right hand drive, '81 hj47 troopie that I'm looking to sell. I have gotten rid lots of projects over the last year, but still have a few too many and this one needs to go before I start neglecting my 55. I'm a wagon type of a guy and like this truck but just don't have the money to take this truck to the next level. I had a full cage and a new skid plate put on it by Crum's Custom Welding. The cage turned out great and so did the beefy skid plate.
What have I done to it?
-Resealed the leaking transfercase, including the seal between the transmission and transfercase.
-Replaced the water separator due to it leaking with a new racor separator and filter
-Replaced the fuel filters
-Replaced the oil and oil filter
-Replaced the freeze plug on the back of the head that the frickin' PO thought could be replaced with an expandable rubber plug
-Adjusted the brakes
-Had full cage installed - this cage ties into the frame and is a top notch job.
-Crum's Custom Welding put new floorpans in the front. The front body mounts were repaired at that time as well.
What else comes with it?
- Full family bikini top from SOR (note this is for a 40, but I was gonna use it to get as much coverage as
possible.
- Used bib that has almost zero rust on it
- Used right rear ambulance door to replace the one that is on there
[bold]
- 33x10.50 tires on fj60 rims, stock rear full floater, h41 crawler transmission, 12v engine, and one big ol' aussie bar on the front.[/bold]
- stock 2H diesel with header
- Right hand drive
- two fuel tanks with in cab selector
What else needs to be done to it?
- The odometer does not work...well, nothing other than the tenths column. I haven't torn into it, but could be replaced by a new gauge cluster
- The left side defroster hose is crushed, I have one to replace with it
-New paint. The frame is in excellent shape. There are a few areas that need to be attended to on this troopie. Typical areas, such as the cowl seam on the left side and the rear sill. The previous owner "fixed" the area between the wheel wells and the fenders. It could use some additional grinding to take the welds down a bit more.
- the seats are useable, but have been covered with some additional vinyl.
A little bit of attention and some paint can make this a drop dead sexy rig
Currently tagged in Virignia with no funny stuff on the VIN or title.
********************sold************
I have bought and sold lots of cruisers and parts on mud, I try to give as good of a description as I can...I would want the same. PM if you have any interest.
