I think you are overlooking the low mileage on this beauty and it is a rare FJ5 which drives the price up.

I will say in retrospect I think I would take a rig with no rust and no engine over a rig with an engine and rust but not at that price.

Wait, what is an FJ5???? Is that a unicorn or real? Never heard of one.

The ad makes sense in the context of 40 series pricing. The 40s selling for less than 15k in my neck of woods are usually rust buckets +/- seized engines. A guy is current selling a rolling chassis with mismatched body components for about 16k.

60s are getting older (ie rarer). i agree this guys ad is zoinks, but it seems that's where the market is headed.

Also to add, if you're looking in Arizona, there was just an mid year 60 for sale in Yuma for around $5500. It is now for sale in Chandler, AZ for twice the price a few days later. It's rusty. Beware.
