Nicely set up rig in Kingman. Wished I could have gotten a better picture but, it was taken during that storm that passed through Tuesday night and conditions were god awful!

Not sure if you were in your rig, but I am sure this owner was happy to be in his considering how bad it was in the high country during that storm.

I was in my GX and my daughter was in her 4runner. 95% of truck traffic was stopped. There was no more room at the truck stops or rest stops, they were stacked on the on and off ramps. The few trucks we had to navigate around were, shall we say, idiots. Winds were at least 30 to 40 gusting up to 60. Rain was very heavy and moving almost horizontally. Got to the point were I just sat behind the rigs and could not pass as you were completely blinded for the time you attempted to pass. It was not bad if they were passing you as the wind pushed all the wash away from us. Times I had to slow to 40mph. A few of the trucks still on the road also dropped in speed but there were 20 or so from Vegas to Wickenburg that were easily going 60 or more. Just dumb.

The cruiser appears to have a diesel in it due to the label on the gas can. It was unfortunate I did not have the opportunity to stop, chat and admire the rig. The pic does not do it justice, it was CLEAN!

Glad you and your daughter are safe and were responsible when it came to driving. From the description it reminded me a typhoon season in Japan.

Outside of Rye, Az. Proof that white is the best color.

For the record, it's not an LC, although I thought it was. It is Japanese, though...

That's not Japanese......its a Willys wagon.
It is, and it is.

Or maybe it's not, I'm certainly no expert. Here's a Mitsubishi Willys:

I would still be willing to bet that one pictured above (carcass) was an American built Willys. You never said if it had any badging to determine if it was truly a Mistu.

So, I did some digging and found this.........look mid page

I did not seeing anything about if they were exported from Japan or not?

Interesting history though

I couldn't find any badging. From the design of the dash and a few other minor details, I got the impression it was Japanese. Nothing definite though.

Very nice decked out 200 in Winterhaven while looking at the lights 👍🏻

That's a Willy's. One thing the FJ2X, FJ3X and FJ40 series shared was the same shape instrument cluster and glove box door opening. From the mid fifties to mid eighties openings were the same shape. Those are not the shape. Highly unlikely that would be a Mitsubishi made copy of an old Willy's wagon here in the AZ desert. If there was any threads for bolts sure they would be SAE not Metric.
