I have stock michelins and a stock ride and get 16.6 highway and 14.0 town. Almost same every tank. I did get 17.7 driving to a golf tourney in mississippi last may where most was at 60 mph. I wonder how many reports here are adjusted for oversize tires.

Mine is, I have a Yellr (yellow box) converter on my truck.

Just did my intown Mileage last night, 13.5mpg, adjusted for my 285s. I drive like an old lady though.

I had a run around car for a while but in the end , it just sat there collecting dust and maintenance needs. Even the wifey wanted to take the LC over anything else. I too have stopped tracking mileage as it is just part of the deal for me driving an over built LC. Now even my kids are old enough to understand the LC draw and they don't like riding in anything else either. (got to love it.)

Wife drives it (265/60 18 Michelins on it, and were like new when I bought it, so...) and gets 14 to 14.5 around town per the computer. On long light trips, she sees 18. I am not so lucky... everytime I drive it I am in the 15's on a long trip... or in the 12's if I am going like this.

You guys are really recommending a Civic? Wrong approach. Get a 62 and then every time you get in the 100 you will be happy with your awesome gas mileage!

Mine is a 2000 model with the 4 speed tranny. Bone stock michelin ltx ms. All city is 14 all day. All highway is 16 all day. I can get 17 drivin back roads during duck season when im cruisin 55.

2003 w 5sp. Stock Michelin LTX MS2. Took a trip to Lake Placid, NY last weekend with my son. Filled back up when tank was half full. Went 197.8 miles and put in 10.8 gallons = 18.25 mpg. 70% highway w cruise set at 65mph and 30% backroad.

Around town, I seem to average 13 mpg. At current gas prices, I daily drive the Hundy.

13 mpg - lots of armor.

Just bought an 06 with 142K. First long trip got 16.2 driving 80-85 and averaging 77. Also had a tank that was 18.2 with an average of 64mph, all highway. New Hankook stock tires and fresh tune up.

wifes 100 is bone stock, 14.8 around town, 17.6 on the highway if i stay under 75.

my 100 has 2.5" lift, skid plate, sliders, 295/75-16 KO's, I get 13.9 around town (corrected for tire size) and 13 on the highway because I drive 80+mph.

I have a BMW 750Li I use for long trips, that gets 25mpg's on the highway. I'd say keep the Civic if it's paid off.

Stock, I was averaging 15 city / 18 highway. Saw close to 20 on a recent trip to Charlotte (topography mostly downhill).

Now, with 285's, averaging around 13.5 city / 16 highway.

If your civic averages 40 mpg (at best case), and your cruiser averages 13 mpg, @ 1000 miles a month, that's approx. $100 differential. I understand it's real money, but factor insurance / depreciation / maintenance and the math doesn't work.

Tracking 18k miles this year - loving every minute. My family is much safer in a cruiser than a tin-can civic.

1999 w/ 175K...stock height with 285 Duratracs.
12mpg in town
15mpg on highway
13.5mpg average
17mpg is my record

**I'd keep the Honda if it's not costing you much. My secondary vehicles are a Suzuki Sidekick and Husqvarna SM610, neither are very ideal for a backup rig.

I average 12.5 on a tank. Mostly around town driving.
On road trips towing a tent trailer I get 16-18 mpg but I stop a lot for potty breaks.
Got new spark plugs and went from H/T to A/T tires (stayed w/ 275s) and mileage is the same.

2007 LX. Tires split between stock size michelins, stock size nokian hake's, and 275/55R20 tundras. No major difference between the three.

last tank 17.3mpg (13.6L/100km), filled 25.6gal (96.9L). Still showed 26km to empty. Low fuel light had just come on.

lifetime 15.7mpg (15L/100km) over 19000 miles (30800kms)
