sup fellas,
i'm back.
just thought i'd drop in and say hey.
an update is in order:
last semester broke my balls...that's my lame excuse for absolutely NO cruiser work happening.
this semester, still breakin my balls, but not as bad, and my class schedule is way earlier so i can work on the cruiser during the day every once in a while.
for the last 2-3 weeks i've been workin every other night or so with my brother-in-law on his 77 bronco. pulled the body off, completely stripped down the frame, puttin a 3.5" lift on, power steering, huge new radius arms up front, etc...
as soon as his frame heads to the powdercoater (~1week), my frame goes in (hopefully my sister won't notice, ha ha) and we get to crackin on it.
plans for the frame so far:
1) box rear section and fab up new bumper/xmember
2) homemade shackle reversal up front; pushin the axle as far forward as i can get it (still lookin for another set of 55 rear springs...)
3) movin rear shackle hangers all the way to the end of the frame/xmember and puttin on 55 springs (moving spring hangers back as well)
4) powersteering...haven't decided if i want to use the saginaw box i have on my other frame or try out the astro ps swap. (inside v. outside of xmember)
5) setup other SOA stuff (relocating/extended shock hoops, etc)
that's all i've got right now.
i don't want to think too far ahead in fear that i'll forget about what i have to do right now, ha ha...
pax,
malphrus
oh, and alan, soon, very soon, as soon as i can, i will have that pile of cruiser out of your sight.
