Been running them on my cruiser since I bought it. One of them has separated now. Not sure if that's a tire issue, but they can't be more than 2-3 years old (bought Cruiser last Jan). Not very good in the snow, downright dangerous in the mud (almost lost our lives navigating our way down a muddy/grassy ridge last year - and there wasn't even that much mud).

On the flipside, they are very quiet and comfortable. Considerable roll, I wonder what the sidewall strength is. Great in the rain too.

When I bought the truck there was 147k on it, and I had about 80% tread. Now i have about 50% and about 163k miles. I guess that's about normal for our trucks considering their weight and AWD nature.

I definitely will not be buying these tires again, HOWEVER, if you're not doing any mud/snow driving, and mostly highway, and a bit of rain, these tires are wonderful for that - other than the fact one of them separated (I've had that happen on other tires I've owned though too, so that may have just been a one-off thing this time around).

I have the Geolandar HTS in 285/75/16, I am happy with them, of course, the PO had failed to rotate the Mich he had on it and they were screwed when I got it from him. Had Geo's on my pathfinder before I got the LC, and they made me pretty happy. Don't remember which model.

I have HTS's on my wifes Tahoe. I have only had them about 10k miles but am pleased so far. Both Geolanders (HTS and A/T-S) get great reviews on Tirerack. The price is what is hard to ignore. I am looking at 285/75-16 and the Yokohamas are $130 and the BFG KO is $172. The Bfg has no tread warranty but the Yok's have a 50k mile warranty.

I am purchasing something Monday but the above info makes for a hard decision.

I've had them on the wife's LX470 for about 10k miles. They did just dandy with some light wheelin' in Colorado earlier in the year. They have pretty good on-road manners, with the only exception that the speedo is a little off. it's reading about 3 mph slower than we're really going, iirc. Would I buy 'em again? absolutely, given what she's doing with them. Light offroading, mall cruising, etc.

I've heard they are excellent but are recommended more for non snow climates. Their test ratings on Consumer Reports for snow and ice is not great.

I bought the Yokohama Geolander A/T S 275/70/16 stock size for a 99' and they are awesome. They make hardly any noise and are just as quiet as my old Michelin Cross Terrains. They still look brand new after 7000 miles and are great in the snow and rain and ride very smooth on the freeway. For the money I think they're one of the best but I've only had them 6 months so I cannot give you long term opinion. I've driven on ice and they are acceptable not terrific. I think they came out with a new model of A/T S recently that are better in the snow as mine seem fine.

My top choices were between the Geolander A/T S and the Terra Grapplers for a "steet" all terrain and probably between the Bfgoodrich A/T KO and the Dick Cepek Fun Country 2s for a more "off road" all terrain. The Geolanders are perfect for light offroading and highway cruising. I wish I had 4 sets of rims and tires for every season here in Wisconsin.

Just understand that in mud, and icy/hard packed snow, you will not be going anywhere except where you DON'T want to go. In any other conditions, these tires are great. This is for the A/T's not the H/T's. The H/T's are a completely different tire, and shouldn't be compared next to this one.
