Seems not very popular tire here, it's a M/T after all. But few folks seem to run it on 200 (@TrekboxX, @aryanalp, @SchobTime).

Any more feedback/experiences? Noise on pavement? Say compared to studded Nokians? (unusual comparison, but would give me a frame of reference).

Yoko touts how low noise it is for a mud tire. Reports seems to corroborate that. Some people say it's quieter than little worn Ridge Grappler (which has reputation of being quiet).

I am thinking about trying something different than KO/KO2 (only non-highway tire I have experience with), and was leaning towards Ridge Grapplers but I am intrigued about the Yokos. Would not mind something more bulletproof for rocks when out west, just don't want to go deaf on highway. Better mud ability would be a plus here in the east.

Looking to get it in the "approved" ~33" size, i.e. LT285/70/17 (E-load rating). What is nice: same weight as KO2 in that size/load - 58 lbs. Which is rather low compared to other mud tires, or even other beefier A/T tires such as aforementioned Ridge Grappler or Cooper ST Maxx.

I am interested in feedback as well. These are the tires I was going to buy in 285/75/17, until I decided to be sensible and accept that by far most of my miles are on pavement.
However, once my Coopers wear out, I was planning to look at these again.

I have these on my 2019 Tacoma. 285/75R17. Yes, relatively quiet for a mud terrain, but you do hear them. Less than 1000 miles of travel. The Tacoma is a different beast (less insulation) from the 200, which has studded Nokians... so a direct comparison won't be perfect. The Nokians are not as loud, but the studs clacking is less pleasing to my ears.

Very interesting. Because I have studded Nokian 8 tires on my 2012 Tacoma and studded Nokians 9 on the 200.

Huge difference in loudness. Taco is deafening at highway speed, 200 is very tolerable.

I love the g003s and run them on my 80 and 40 as well. I am going to switch to the Geolandar x-ATs on the 200 as it will be my long distance tow rig.

Sounds then like they are not great match for 200/lots of pavement use case. Noise? Wear?

They are loud, but I am running 35s. If you are spending most of the time on pavement I would go with an AT. The g003s are awesome off road. My first set went for 30k miles and I ran them on the Rubicon last summer

All the manufacturers tout how quiet their MT's are. And most of the people who run them say the same. They don't want to admit their tire choice is basically the same (noise-wise) as all the others. MT's are louder than AT's, AT's are louder than street tires. True, some are a little louder than others, but mostly those that have not worn evenly.

G003's are very good tires so far. Wayyy better than KO2's off road, not as good on road- obviously. Great in deep snow. Smoother rolling than Trail grapplers, STT Pros, etc. And IMO the best looking MT going.

Lots may jump in and say this or that tire is loud, quiet, etc. I think very loud modern MT's are the exception rather than the rule. Unless you're running swampers....

My buddy has been running them on his Chevy 3500 for a year now and he's in love. I would say they are acceptable in terms of noise for a M/T but not A/T quiet. If I were using the vehicle as a daily or for a lot of highway use I'd lean towards an A/T. I do like the looks of this tire a lot and if I had a dedicated trail rig that I drove to and from the trails then it would be at the top of my list. The price on them is extremely fair as well.

One has not truely experienced life until having piloted a vehicle shod with with lightly worn/cupped bias ply Interco Swamper tires.

I had an XJ with worn bias ply TSL Swampers on ~6" of lift and no swaybars for a couple years in college. It was great until one of them blew out at 75mph while I was hauling a KX250 in a hitch receiver and had about 600 pounds of gear in the back and on the roof. I stopped buying dry rotted used tires from people who store piles of them uncovered in the backyard in Phoenix after that 😲

I had a ZJ Grand Cherokee on 33" TSLs. I drove from Atlanta to Moab and back on them, and used about 1/2 of their treadlife in one trip....

I have them on my LX and you can deffinatly hear them, had Wildpeaks on my GX and will probably be going back soon!

Just put them on. Not much louder than the Ridge Grapplers I had before. Looks great.
