Yup, love the vector 5s on a 200 series. Probably my favorite wheel aesthetics wise. At this point I have seen 6-7 failures. I have had terrible exposure to anything Icon. I was rooting for their alloys.

This is the second one I cracked. The other one was just one spoke and I have been using it as a spare for the time being. I broke two spokes this time.

I’ll use this thread as a PSA and a selfish post for suggestions on what to grab next.

Purchase criteria:
17inch wheel
5x150
+25 offset (maybe +35, but not preferred) I’m already rubbing my upper control arm.
Machined finish
No fake beadlocks
Preferably not Method or Icon

I have the Lexus Flavor at the moment…

Rear shock failures, wheel failures.. Icon is seriously dropping the ball on the 200-series.

Pretty scary.. the failures on these was my deciding factor to go BBS... I originally really wanted them.. Glad you caught it OP!

I run the rebound pros so this hits close to home.

How heavy are you? The vector is rated for 2750lbs each so you could be near the limits on those. I chose the rebound pros for their higher limit of 3200lbs.

When I was wheel shopping I was really chasing the EvoCorse DakarZero, you can get them in the offset and size you’re looking for but you gotta pony up for them. I was emailing with someone here in the states who import them, I can’t recall their name at the moment but they are attainable at a cost. Their weight limit is a whopping 4.400lbs as well.

I’m deliberately super light. Drawers in the rear and sliders , That’s it for added spring weight. A ton of suspension work, 4.88s, locked and 37s. Could have been the 37s for sure but I broke the other one on 35s so…

I had Evo corse wheels on my Lc200. Great wheels and super strong. My issue with them is that the face of the wheel is pretty much flush with the outer bead. They get absolutely thrashed. Great wheels, but not for me.
