Directions and questions

Been looking at a few different routes to take to get me from PA to Hancock. The one I think I'd prefer takes me through Brattleboro VT to hancock. Any road problems between Brattleboro and Hancock? With the flooding earlier this month I'm conecerned about any possible road closings. Any info is appreciated. Thanks, Gary S

Jealousy will get you nowhere.

Getting packed here in PA, if all goes well should be at Gretchen's sometime Thursday afternoon, Mapquest says 395 miles from my house. I'll be picking up the soft top for Jeff from Philly, I'm sure this is going to be be a worthwhile and memorable trip! Gary S
Picke up the top yesterday see you there:cheers:

NH lucked out, I was over in VT on Route 9 last week and the road got washed out in several spots.

I usually get off I-91 at Bernardston, MA and take Route 10 from there right into Keene. It's several miles shorter, but no quicker if you are driving a rig that can actually exceed the speed limit and you drive that way:rolleyes: When you get to Keene, take Rte 101 east rather than Rte 9 and then take Rte 37 north to Gretchen's. (Mapquest, Google maps and the GPS doesn't always provide the best route).

What are you driving up?

Have a safe trip!

any weather is better than last years friday monsoon.

with towing a trailer i take 84 to 691 to 91 than exit 3 in VT cross into NH 9 to 101 and then left on 137. that's the easiest route for me. and there is a nice liquor store when you first enter NH on the right.

Is it Thursday yet?

I hope not, I have an LX that refuses to cooperate.

Nothing major, but out on a test ride today as soon, and I mean exactly as the front tire touched dirt, the DS sun visor fell down and now refuses to stay up.

I don't know what the ultimate bitch female name is but I'd find out what it is and stamp it on the ass of this truck! Maybe we need a poll! Name Bob's truck!

Hopefully it will be in the rear view tomorrow.

I never thought talking about culinary product on this board!

OK. Among the many products of Quebec folk there, creton and tourtière.

Creton are a mixture of ground pork, generaly with bread crumbs and a few other ingredients. It is a spread. You should spread the creton over crackers or bread.

The tourtière is literally a meat pie with a filling made of ground or piece of pork (and sometimes potatoes depending the region). You eat the tourtière as a meal.

I hope you will bring a sample of each. We can have an international feast!
