Well I went ahead and cut class today so I could work on the pig. After breaking an exhaust flange stud and a few other little things, I started putting the pig back together with hopes of a better running pig. I had seperated the intake and exhaust manifolds so I went and put them back onto the engine that way. The exhaust manifold went in nice. The PO did not have a gasket installe, but I have a new one in a box. I made a block off plate for the EGR flex pipe. Installed the intake, replaced the two vacuum lines with new ones. Cleaned out the carb (was very dirty inside)and installed it. Replaced the brake booster vacuum hose. Plugged off the EGR tube coming out of the carb base plate. Went over everything to asure it was tight and put back together ok. Started it up and then went for a test drive.

First thing we noticed was there was still a small exhaust leak and the flange. The PO welded the flange back up so its warped. But the leak isnt to bad (so far). It was way more quite then before and accelerated smoother. From a stop it didnt hesitate like before. We drove around for about 40 minutes then stopped to get a coke. Now the flooding test.It had been flooding on us when trying to restart it hot. Got in the pig and it started right up. Didnt die on acceleration or flood on us like it had in the most recent past. Was like a whole other beast. I let my wife drive it and she was like "WOW!" This doesnt feel like Im driving the same pig.".. So Im pretty happy. Pig has been completely desmogged and seems to be running fine now.

One of these years we have got to have a national 'Swine-O-Rama' so I can meet all you pig owners! Just love to read your posts Minipigg! You have so much enthusiam and interesting posts. Keep up the good work.

Swine-o-rama sounds like fun... would have to make the first one somewhat central so everyone would have a chance to attend.
