Thanks guys, it took me a while to find this rig and I had been searching for a while and test driving a lot of rigs before this one came along. Being a Canadian BJ the body isn't perfect, it still has a bit rust for me to work on.

Thanks R.O.M for the heads up on the gearing, I haven't had much of a chance to do much highway driving yet, and when I have it was at pretty slow speeds (3rd gear) because of all this snow we have been getting. But now that I know about it, I will keep it an eye out for it.

If memory serves, that H55 is a 5 speed and 5th is an overdrive. If it is the gears will be no problem. I run 4.88's in my 62 with 33's, it runs 2300 rpm at 60mph. Tranny is the stock auto with an overdrive. Like many people have said before It's not a slow car, it's just a really fast tractor.

Welcome to the madness.

Nice scoe , wellcome to mud

We just bought this HJ60 from a retired GMan on 1/12/08.
For $3000 CDN.
I bouht it for the family and it needed few repairs for inspection.
I put new brakes on the front and cleaned and freed the e- brake. Also put 3 patches on the frame. The frame is still solid, but it needed those patches for inspection.
I got it inspected on dec 20. I had to do most of the work in the freezing cold.
I absolutely love this rig, it starts good and very comfi compared to my 40.
The GF is the main driver so the auto comes in handy.
My advice to you.
Plug her in if the temp falls below -10 and oil the frame.
I am taking mine to friend who is going to clean the frame and oil it next week.
That is a nice 60 , take care of it and you will enjoy it loner.
Vic

How much did that cost you, quite currious about the present market prices . pm me if you like . See you around town.

Looks like you did very well for yourself Justin....look me up when you get her to Halifax!

We can work on that turbo build!

Cheers,
Daryl

Hey Daryl I will keep in touch, I will be all over the place next year. Compared to my last ride, a '77 Westy, this rig is a speed demon :steer:

Cheers Justin
