I am overhauling my F155 and have sourced all of the parts that I need except for the oil pump. Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters claims that they have new ones on order since May, but there is still no productiond date set, and once there is, it will be weeks before delivery.

Anyone have a new one laying around?

MAF lists a 9/73 and up oil pump for $199 and CruiserParts.com had older listed, at one point.

If you can verify that it should have a 9 cast on the neck, I have what the PO of the parts Pig claimed was a new pump.

The Aisan is, supposedly, new and has a 9 cast.

I will look at my cast # today. A problem with my old is that the pickup tube fits very loosely into the pump. That has to mean that oil flow is lost and returning to the pan. There were also Nicks in the tube where it has hit the crank. I would not feel good about reusing it.

You can buy new oil pumps from a few different sources. They're not OE and may require modifications to the pan, but they are available.

MAF lists a +9/73 at $199 but pretty sure SOR or JTO had similar for $150.

I absolutely cannot reuse my pump...I would have checked the number on mine today....but something was going on with hinges or something like that...

I'll find what I've got and depict, then can send your way immediately after confirming which you need.

What looks new very well may be, but I didn't pull it out of the box. Should be easy enough to determine usefulness and at the price point I have in mind, worth checking into.

New? no. Used, yes.
Now, when I built the engine for TWRECKS, eight years ago, about the only thing I did not buy new was an oilpump. I had plenty of good used ones lying about, I just checked gear clearance with a feeler gauge. An old oilpump can have a new life by just flipping that one gear that you can flip. And, oilpumps just don't wear out that quickly. Eight years on a used pump I still have enough pressure to trigger the oilpressure relief valve.

Pighead, I may have to resort to choosing between less worn or worn. I am hoping for better, though.

A feeler gauge and your eyeballs can find your best oilpump. Specs for acceptable clearance are in the FSM.
