Hello all, i need to purchase a h 41 trans mission rear cover and the hardware that goes with it. thanx,

Myles

No different than the same thing for an H42!

as in a h 42 from a b series mabey? i posted that this is for a conversion to one of your other threads, but basicly i tneeds to bolt to my h 42 and addapt a non spllit case tcase.

Any ideas?

oh and i have a h 42, but mine is split case. so it has no rear cover. like i stated i need this part to addapt to a non slpit case t case. any chance anything from a gas pot trans would werk for me? i know nothing about them things.

The output shaft on a split case is DIFFERENT than a single piece transfer. One has 19 splines and the other has 16 splines. You CAN bolt on the rear cover though.

If you need an H41 for a "B/3B" engine and a single piece case, c/w the rear cover I have one for sale.

all i need is the rear cover.....i have a good h 42, from a slit case t case......but i need a cover the bolts to the back from a none split case tcase. I would also like to know if this bolt pattern from this trans case is the same as the none diesel trans 4 speeds?

EXACTLY the same cover, it doesn't matter if it was gas or diesel, H41 or H42, but as I mentioned before, if this is bolting to something requiring a single piece transfer case output shaft your H42 is NOT correct if it comes from a split case transfer. You will have a 19 spline output shaft as all split cases do, you will need a 16 spline output shaft as all single piece transfer cases that were mated to 4 speed trannys had.

My FJ55 has a tranny case from a split case H42 with the gears from a single piece transfer H41 with a 3 speed transfer case mounted behind it and it's all behind a 3B diesel engine! It CAN be done.

i have swaped a new outputshaft.. so i just need this cover now that my addaptor bolts too. again.....willl any 4 speed from a 2f engin bolt o the h series trans....there is tons of gas parts rigs around here. but not so many diesel rigs.

again.....willl any 4 speed from a 2f engin bolt o the h series trans.

Read the first line of my last post again carefully!! ANY 4 speed non-split case tranny has the SAME cover.
