you should be able to find a really nice one for about 4g. anything over $6,000 better not have much rust.

There is one on post here in the Lemon Lot. He is asking 13K, looks like it fits your bill perfectly. Yellow, new tub and replaced rust in the doors (crappy repaint on the bottom half where replaced) Rebuilt engine and a wierd but era correct reupholstery that actually looks really good with the rig. If I didn't have my 43 on the way and was looking I would seriously consider it, or at least look at it. I can try to take pictures on my phone but they are not that great. It might be worth 13K with a few more things fixed up but I think you may be able to talk him down to your 10K asking price. There was a lot of interest though. Must have been 4 people come look at it while I was talking to him on the phone.

Thanks guys I pulled the trigger on the FJ40 at Southtown motors. I was looking at a car for my wife when they mentioned their mechanic was selling his. I finalized my purchase last Saturday. Now I am locating odd interior parts. THis one already had a rear disc conversion.

77 FJ40 w/ 35's

I chasing tail light issues at the moment. With any luck, a stop light switch will be the simple fix i am looking for. I will attend the meeting if the 40 is road ready. Could someone PM me with the directions?

It has 35's on it now but it is really tight in the rear 1/4 panel area. Can you tell from the pictures if it has a 4 inch lift or a 2.5? It's so tight that something needs to change (more lift or smaller tire). Does anyone recognize this FJ40? I was hoping to get alittle back ground info on it if possible.
