WTB FJ-40 Cruiser Need Advice!!!

Hello all!! I need some advice. I’ve always wanted a Toyota FJ-40 and have begun my search via the internet and classifieds. I’m a newbie to internet buying and forums. I’ve looked around on this forum for potential vehicles for sale and dealers whom sell them.


My concern is every dealer and vendor I’ve found on the internet has some terrible story posted on this forum. I researched Global Classic Imports, Vintage Off Road, Greg Mushro, a guy in Arizona business or ebay name Coyote popper, Cruiser solutions, some shop in Benton City Washington, Land Cruiser Specialty in Oregon, Joe TLC, CCOT, Greg Overton or Bruzr, AAtlas, Profit Cruiser, Spector Off Road and a few more and it seems there is 100% negativity about all of them.


My question…..Can this website recommend someone to buy from other than the sponsored vendors that seem to be the only ones to not get berated daily? Or should I buy a Bronco? I want this purchase to be a good one, I would like some help, or is this site just negative to everyone? Seems like piles of drama and ego. I’m not trying to be difficult, just don’t want to get burned. I’m looking for a clean stock FJ40 in the $15,000 to $20,000 realm.

All of them are 100% assured of getting slam-bashed at least once in awhile. Doesn't mean that they aren't competent. Most of them, anyway.

Right now is a great time to buy one. Did you check the classified section some for sale there have documented their refresh/ rebuild on this site so you can see those details. Local prices can be crazy here in Utah so having one shipped to you should be an option. Check Wasatch cruisers web site classifieds also club members will help you out

Talk to Chris Wade in Georgia. I think his MUD name is Wadesters? No affiliation and don't know him, but I've never seen a negative post about his work or his restored 40's.
